Finally it looks like we are truly moving on from him. 9 points,3 rebounds, 5 assists. 6 players had more minutes

He was killing the spacing for everyone tonight.

And it was a beautiful thing

We didn’t have to watch him drive left, get stripped, and brick free throws

I said it in the other thread. I would remove him from the rotation completely. He’s not a good player anymore and he doesn’t bring anything positive to this roster.

He’s lost so much athleticism and never expanded his game so all he does is barrel to the basket and get blocked or miss the shot.

Did he see the floor at all in OT? My stream cut out in the 4th quarter. Good riddance, please trade his arse for anything

It was really sad tonight. He's not big and he's not explosive and he doesn't hustle. He's not even fighting hard for boards.

And he clearly still thinks he's the main character

Making sure we can void as much as his contract money as possible is one of the most important things the team needs to do the rest of the season.

Zion’s contract is awful given how far he has fallen as a player. There is no market for him.

Pelicans need to cut him in the most cap friendly way possible

I don’t believe he played after the 3Q.

There's no way he can be on this roster next year for $40M.

I can hear Sir Charles now:

"Move over, Draymond and AD. We now have "Triple Single Street Clothes".

That’s why I think we need to cut him now. He can’t play 41 games if you just cut him now. People need to drop the delusion that some team is going to trade for him. Everyone knows he’s done here and we could use the cap space. Any team that would be interested would just wait till we eventually cut him in the offseason to pick him up

This will do one of two things. Motivate Zion or cause him to sulk and request a trade.

Win win

“No matter what, whoever steps on the floor, it’s their job to produce. And now we have healthy bodies. What separates lineups is going to be how hard you play, how you compete, how you perform when you have your shot.”

In this final stretch, rotations will be fluid, and minutes will be earned through the very effort and focus Borrego is demanding. The players who most effectively help “move the needle” on defense and within the offensive flow will find themselves on the court when it matters most.

How sad is it that Z would need to look to a rookie as a leader. Z is just not that guy. Damian Lilliard was training with David Goggins a couple of seasons ago, I really think someone like that is the only thing that could save Z. Z needs mentality training.
