He still has a small degree of trade value. But it will not be great.
Maybe ATL for Porzingis, Kennard, and two 2nd rounders
Maybe Charlotte for Bridges and Sexton
Nothing great, but decent support players behind the new duo of Queen and Murphy.

If Zion isn’t motivated by now, nothing will.
At this point I’m all for trading him just to get him out the locker room. Let Queen and Fears establish the culture.

I don’t really care how we win. Z played a good game yesterday. But DQ is the mf alpha dog.

So you didnt' watch the game.
He was terrible yesterday, and his -17 proved that.
I"m sick and tired of seeing him lightly jog all over the court. Trade him or cut him, i don't care, but i don't want to see him on this team in the month of February.

It also probably has something to do with the fact that Houston has the best interior defense in the league. It's a very difficult matchup for Zion.

Zion has scored at will on Sengun every time he’s played him.
He’s scored 20, 20, 28, 27, 24 the last 5 times he played them in the last 2 years.

Who says no to this trade?
CHI: Zion/ Hayes
LAL: Missi/ Jose/ Looney
Jazz: P Williams/ Hawk/ 30' Pels (protected)/ 31' LAL
Pels: Huerter/ Nurkic/ Kleber/ Kessler/ Knecht/ 26' CHI
Essentially Kessler/ Knecht for Zion/ Missi. We get a 26' but lose a 30', and free up +$30mil in cap space this offseason.

Everyone including Pels.

Z is just not that guy.
Since he has been in the league, he hasn't made any changes to his offensive game to counter what teams scheme against him defensively. The schemes have only gotten better the last 2 years while he has stubbornly gotten worse. Just barrel wildly into the paint to get blocked, lose the handle, miss at close range or get hacked just to turn around & bitch at the refs for a no call.
He's too stupid to realize that if he developed a 3 point or midrange shot to draw defenders out & prevent them from building a wall that it would create creases & better angles for him to actually get to the basket at will. You see other high level players constantly building & adding to their repertoire. Not Zion though.

Lakers traded Knecht, 31' 1st, and a swap just for Mark Williams. Taking out the swap and adding Jose makes it pretty fair value.
Missi + Jose for Kleber + 31' 1st would be a done deal if you exclude knecht.
Utah loves Hawk and P Williams and they get their 2 firsts. Why would they say no?
Why would we say no?
If CHI 26' ends up in the lottery then maybe they say no but (1) 1st for Z without giving up anything else?
Anyone have an actual reason why certain teams wouldn't/ shouldn't?

I think this would be a yes from all teams.
CHI: Zion/ Peavy/ 32' 2nd LAL
LAL: Missi/ Jose
Jazz: P Williams/ Hawk/ 30' Pels/ 31' LAL
Pels: Huerter/ Nurkic/ Kleber/ Kessler/ 26' CHI
DJ/ Fears/ ???
Bey/ Poole/ ???
Trey/ Herb/ McGowens
Queen/ Karlo/ ???
Kessler/ ???/ ???
We would need a backup C + end of roster spots and still have a 26' 1st + $35-$39mil cap space. We could keep all of those players and pay another player $20-$30mil. Lock up Kessler/ Bey long term with the squad and revisit Poole/ DJ/ Herb next season.
The Pels probably have the worst value per value in that trade but Kessler is the best asset and freeing up +$35mil is massive win.
You can outbid every other team and add Tari Eason to that group.
DJ/ Fears/ Vet FA
Bey/ Poole/ 26' 1st
Trey/ Herb/ McGowens
Queen/ Eason/
Kessler/ Karlo/ Vet FA
This would be a ridiculous defensive lineup to match our offensive lineup.
DJ/ Herb/ Eason/ Queen/ Kessler
Fears/ Poole/ Bey/ Trey/ Queen
CHI: Zion/ Peavy/ 32' 2nd LAL

Jazz: P Williams/ Hawk/ 30' Pels/ 31' LAL
Pels: Huerter/ Nurkic/ Kleber/ Kessler/ 26' CHI

No way LAL will trade Hayes, Knecht, Kleber and 1st for Missi, Jose and Looney.
They won't trade them even without the pick probably.

See the other one. Just Kleber + 31' and they'd do it. The LAL, Pels, and Jazz do it IMO. The biggest question would be CHI and I think the idea of Z would be worth it for them. Its 1 first.

FYI:
31' = 31 feet
'31 = 2031
