They have committed to a second season to be released in 2027, and HotD S3 will be releasing in the Summer.
There's nothing of any really huge scale in this series, at least not the books that exist so far. It's not Stranger Things.

Only six episodes and they are 30 minute episodes. Seems about right for each novella. Glad they aren't stretching it out with 8 hour long episodes with a bunch of filler. Should allow them to stick close to the source keeping it shorter like they are.
