What’s the reason they are spinning and what’s the real reason?

Nobody knows.

Those that followed him know he honestly really didn’t want the job but took it because he respects Trump. He’s had cancer and getting older. He also said his main goal was to get the pipe bomber and this was the thing he focused on most on his podcast.

He found all the secret rooms to find and has nothing left to do.

Perhaps he can do more good on the outside on his radio program.

Wife, is my guess.

He slipped up and used the words, divorce and separated while on a fox morning show. I’m guessing he just meant to say he was working too much and it was cramping his lifestyle. Seriously, he talked about Kash being in early, but because Dan wanted to go lift some weights, he didn’t get in until later. Whatever dude, you’ve got more free time now too get shredded in the weight room. Disappointing.

Bongino is out of his element, he's a Secret Service Agent retired. Probably has never flown a desk before or had to put up with Civil Service untouchables

After listening to Bongino daily for years, I would assume that he got in and quickly realized it is a lost cause and is disgusted by his day to day.

Couldnt imagine getting a peak behind the curtain, wanting to right the wrongs, only to be strong-armed by politics and judiciary corruption at every stop.

He was unqualified for this position.

He realized he couldn’t just run his mouth and had to do actual work.

I've been thinking this^^^ for awhile....remember it was just a few months ago Bongino was rumored to be leaving the FBI. My guess is he told Patel he would hang around until 2026.

I've listened to 80-90% of his shows since 2016 and I very much disagree on some major issues with him.

The reasons he is leaving, if I had to make a short list:

1) they have been successful in an early attempt at restructuring the FBI.

2) The russiagate investigations are in good shape, as we have read about the January indictments coming out of Florida. Hopefully.

3) He has 2 young daughters 1 in college and the other early into her teens, if not younger. In Florida, with just mom, because Dad is in DC. This is probably the primary reason

4) Tired of DC bullshite and it only expanded on point 3. Go home. Live a good life and hope the good guys win and you helped

The end.

P.S.

John Brennan was most likely #1 on Dan's shite list. I don't think he would leave the post other than 2 reasons. 1. Brennan is toast 2. Brennan is going to walk and he's getting out of DC and calling it good

We'll see...

Hell, he went on media awhile back and basically said he hated doing the job. I saw a video earlier about it. He said (paraphrase): "I gave up everything to do this. I've left my wife alone to work long hours in an office I share with Kash. (Speaks highly of Kash though about how he's the first in the office and last to leave) I'm proud to do it though, so I'm not a victim here." And then talked about how he misses being with his wife because they love each other.

The guy makes more money doing his podcast. He already retired from the Secret Service. He was called back up to duty and did an additional year.

People shouldn't disparage the man. He's a life long public servant and a patriot. He deserves to work from home where he can be near his bride. He's earned that right.

People hate him because he spoke out against the left and supports Trump. It’s the only reason he gets negative attention from that crowd. Nobody forces anyone to watch his show if they want to argue that it’s a grift. He doesn’t ask for money but does have sponsors which are mostly products geared towards his audience. He’s a good guy, looks like a pitbull and acknowledges that lol.

No disparagement from me. I do think when Bongino steps down he will tell a story of how he had no idea just how bad it really is inside the stinky bowels of the FBI.

Oh, I know. Just speaking generally.
And I would imagine you're right about the rest.
