Q. How many wise men, or magi, are mentioned in the Bible?

A. People assume three because they brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh, but the Book of Matthew (2:11) does not say how many. Some traditions suggest as many as 12.

Contrary to the song, Wenceslas was a terrible king.

Also, they didn’t visit Jesus until he was around 18-24 months old. Manger scenes that include the magi are incorrect.

It’s a made-up story.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were most likely back in Nazareth. They had already taken Jesus to Jerusalem for presentation at the temple, so there would be no need to go back to Bethlehem. At that point the census would have been concluded.

The wise men were firemen
Why?
Because they came from afar

They were wise?

Maybe the star led them?

Maybe they went to Bethlehem and asked around and someone was like..."Oh, you mean the Christ kid and his family? They were just here for that census thing and then went home to Nazareth. We were so glad to see them go; we had shepherds, drummer boys, all these folks wantin' to see some baby that was sleeping in a food trough."
