There is zero evidence that Venezuela is the lynchpin of the fentanyl crisis. This is just another war like the 2d Iraq war where the admin decided on war, mainly for oil-related reasons, and then spent several months turning up the temperature and escalating towards war based on fake reasons.
If you wanted to go to war to stop fentanyl you'd either invade Mexico or start a war with China.
Edit: if the rumor is true. I hope it's not. Trump seems to be proud of promoting peace so hopefully he won't give in to the MIC and start yet another war of choice.

Hard to say since we will never have the intel and data to know if this is a threat that must be neutralized.
Trump has never been a war hawk so if this happens, something is bad news in the intel.
