Especially an identical twin? What’s it like? And how does your relationship with your twin differ from your relationship with other siblings?

As one of your good unclaimed eFriends, I must ask. Why the question?

I work with several and their experiences range widely. Got me wondering if it was universally true.

My half brother is 27 days older than me. Does that count?

I ate mine in the womb and emerged superior.

Experiences or personality/capability?

We have 6 sets in our intermediate family (sisters included) and it is wild how much they are their own person.

I can't comment on the question, because I'm not a twin. But that bond is unreal. The way they can communicate and understand each other is something that seems super natural at times. I'm kinda jealous of it. That twin bond is an unreal thing, from my interactions with those freaks of nature.

One guy I work with is an identical twin. His twin lives in ATL and if he doesn’t see him every couple of months he gets distressed. His twin is his “person”.

I married a twin. (No pics) They are super close and talk everyday. They have had experiences where they both go through something at the same time that is an odd coincidence. I.e. neither had ever broken a bone before last month. Within days of each other, both broke toes on their left foot. Spooky. There are other weird things too. But the strangest thing is that when I first met them, I thought my wife’s twin kissed better than her.

That is all.

Aunt/Uncle in law had 3 boys. They tried one more time for a girl and got triplet boys. They are all different from each other.

Another friend of mine just had identical twins but they're about a year old so not much personality yet per se.

My wife and I had identical twin girls... They are, as you might imagine, very much alike in many ways. But have some differences as one would expect. We jokingly refer to twinsing and ESP.. They roll their eyes and say it doesn't exist. At least not for them.

My wife (no pics) is a twin. She and her sister (also no pics) are fraternal and are very different but get along very well.

I’m sure it was different when they were younger though.

I am an identical twin. My brother and I live about an hour apart and talk 1-2 times a week. It's pretty typical stuff. When we were kids in school, we used to prank teachers by switching classes. We also acted like we could read each other's minds by writing a number on a piece of paper, while the other one sat across the room and wrote the same number. We could do that a few times in a row because we had memorized a sequence of numbers.

As an adult, it doesn't affect my life at all. When we were younger, we would act the same way in similar situations, but that was because we saw the world through the same set of experiences. We went to different colleges, which sent us down different paths in adulthood.

checking in. I am older by 5 mins and I have been Alpha twin my whole life. I have often thought what it has been like for 50 years being the underachiever and the sloppy seconds twin. He is very good looking and makes good money so the identical part has followed us all the way into adulthood. He posts here so if he comes in here talking smack don't believe him he can't be trusted. Anyway he lives 15 mins from me out here and we curse and bitch together when we watch LSU games and I wouldn't trade him for another twin in the world. Great memories growing up too. Twinbaws for life

I’m not but in elementary school a few grades ahead of me they had identical twins. Both very fine.
