Well, I heard Trump pardoned the CEO of the developer Woody chose, so that's something.

Kiffen.

That was a play against the Fat fricker. No way we get Kiffin if Woody is still around.

It begs the question: who would he have hired?

He obviously had his eye on somebody since he fired BK.

Texas will have built their women’s arena before LSU breaks ground.

Design Development drawings were released to contractors back in August. I haven't seen anything new since.

Generally there will be a few months between new sets of drawings. So I suspect contractors will see updated drawings in the beginning of 2026.

Pretty sure the metro council just approved the special tax district. I think that was one of the things LSU was waiting on.

Didn’t they say it would be built with no tax dollars? When did they change that?

LSU’s new arena is not being funded directly by the university’s budget. Instead, it’s structured as a private development financed by an external developer (likely Oak View Group), using special district tax revenues, event and naming rights income, and other commercial revenue streams to make the project financially viable.

Now would be the perfect time to hit Verge up for an update.

Definitely feels like Kim has a legit shot at winning another Natty this year. Possibly next year as well.

Last year, they said it was about $350,000,000 to build. We have almost half of that tied up in O, Kelly and Kiffin.

I read in 225 where OLOL is going to be involved and the new CEO is a big wig from another fortune 500 Co and knows what a big deal the new arena and developing the surrounding area could have for the community. He has already had a positive impact on OLOL hospital so hopefully he'll follow suit with the arena.
