So basically, the Ole Miss AD and message board insiders are completely full of shite as we all knew.

They knew it was better to have him on the sidelines than not.

Not surprised. Much like the assistant coach BS rumor “whoever gets on the plane with Kiffin is fired”

But we were told the player leadership went all pitchfork mob against him and didn’t want him addressing the team

Does that include the players that posted publicly he wasnt wanted?

You posted a Bleacher Report article whose source is “a source within the program”.

Real smoking gun there

Y’all melting over this is hilarious

The bleacher report article is referencing a report from The Athletic

Only 12 voted? Is there an explanation given?

The source is the same.

If multiple players hadnt posted on X that nobody wanted him, then this would have more validity

Ole Miss from top to bottom has been absolutely pathetic and compulsive liars about the entire ordeal. They deserve this

Bleacher report isn’t reporting anything. That’s your issue, you don’t trust bleacher report.

A very specific 9-3 vote from the leadership council, reported by the athletic is a different story

Well if 6 players from said council had not come out and publicly stated the opposite then it might be more believable.

Even if they had actually voted for him to come back, it means frick all. “What the players want” is rarely a good route to go down for the program long term.

Gonna laugh when "nobody" transfers to LSU after the season.

It just goes to show that this is all about hurt feelings from your AD. Same with allowing 4 offensive coaches from lsu to go back and coach for the CFP, but Lane couldn’t.

Meh. frick him. He left to go to a rival school instead of staying to finish what he started. He had a choice and he chose to leave early. He isn’t entitled to the opportunity to win a national championship, especially when he’s going to leave to go to LSU.

Except it’s not bullshite. Players on the team and part of that leadership council posted publicly on social media calling Lane a liar when he said the team asked him to stay

Sounds like they were just sour.

Glad we have the athletic sorting this out so we can stop running around pretending everyone there wanted Lane out.
