Tourist changing baby stabbed multiple times at iconic NYC Macy's on 34th Street

I can’t even imagine the hellscape midtown Manhattan will be in the next few years.
Fox News: Tourist changing baby stabbed multiple times in the back at iconic NYC Macy's during holiday shopping rush
And even more amazing: the woman and her husband - employees of the LA County Sheriff’s Office - disarmed and detained the woman until the NYPD got there.
I hope you all got a chance to see NYC before this. Because it’s about to be off the fricking rails.

A homeless Massachusetts woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly brutally stabbing a woman in the back while she was changing her baby inside a bathroom in the iconic Macy's Herald Square in New York City, in what officials are calling an "unprovoked" attack.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) told Fox News Digital the 39-year-old California woman was changing a baby in a seventh-floor bathroom of the store, when she was stabbed twice in the back and suffered a laceration to her left arm.
Police said the attack was "unprovoked" and there was no contact between the suspect, who has been identified as Kerri Aherne, and the victim prior to the stabbing.
And even more amazing: the woman and her husband - employees of the LA County Sheriff’s Office - disarmed and detained the woman until the NYPD got there.
quote:
The victim, who was visiting from Jurupa Valley in Riverside County, is an employee with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department along with her husband, according to the agency.
"My thoughts and prayers are with my employees and their family during this very traumatic event. I am grateful that they are safe and receiving the care and support they need," LASD Sheriff Robert Luna said in a statement. "I want to thank the NYPD first responders who acted swiftly to bring the suspect into custody. We have made employee support and wellness services available to ensure our personnel have the resources they need during this difficult time."
The duo managed to disarm the 43-year-old suspect and detain her until police arrived, the Los Angeles Patch reported.
quote:
Prosecutors said in a criminal complaint obtained Friday night that Aherne told police she had been discharged from Manhattan Psychiatric Center the morning of the stabbing after a yearlong stay.
She also allegedly said that "she purchased a knife at Macy's and looked for someone to kill because voices in her head told her she had to kill someone or she would be killed."
I hope you all got a chance to see NYC before this. Because it’s about to be off the fricking rails.

I’ve got a solution to the homeless crisis. Send them all to Alaska. If they can venture their way back to the continental US then they can stay. All those who choose to remain or perish will be honored one day of the year. Every February 29th.

There is only one solution to the mental illness/homeless crisis and I doubt I can say it without getting banned.

Subsistence-level institutionalization that serves both to keep the truly insane off the streets, as well as act as a deterrent/motivator to the leeches?

Alaska.
Do not underestimate the resourcefulness of most homeless. A lot of the true addicts would likely die in this scenario but many would make it back. Their mental illness helps them overcome many things that would break most of us, including the cold.

New York winter is not equal to Alaska winter, however, there are a number of deserted Aleutian islands off the mainland of Alaska that could serve as their next communal home. Just send airdrops for their support every once in a while.

Mamdami plans to implement the woke dream of sending social walkers instead of cops for 911 calls.
NYPost
Over/under on how many of these social workers are killed in the first year?

They would never make it back.
They would set up shop in Communist Canada and live happily ever after, stabbing, raping, and murdering with the full consent and backing of their “progressive” government.

This is the suspect. Not someone you’d think would stab someone
