I went to Space Camp in Huntsville. Fun week.

Huntsville should have always been the HQ for space command. Putting it in Colorado was weird

Ditto. I was shuttle commander of my group and I made a choice that killed a crew member lol

Makes sense. I went to Colorado Springs and drove on base. Asked about checking out space force and they told me, oh no, you can’t actually see it. It was like it wasn’t even there. No signage, nothing. Glad it’s going to Alabama where it belongs.

What song is it you want to hear?

Some judge will reverse this soon.

Do enlighten us. Are you proposing that because NORAD is based in Colorado that space command should be as well? Space command should be hidden in a mountain to protect itself from global thermonuclear war?
That is a pretty old arse take my friend. Get with the times

“The U.S. Air Force’s thorough selection process and decision to put SPACECOM headquarters in Alabama was based on evidence of what’s best for the military and the country. The Air Force selected Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama over 65 other locations, including Colorado. Members of Congress from Colorado requested two additional studies when they didn’t get their way. Both of those studies confirmed that Huntsville was the number one location for SPACECOM — based on things like workforce, existing infrastructure, education, and cost of living. Colorado did not make the top three. The best place for Space Command is in Huntsville. This is not my opinion, this is fact.”
Now that we know who is "full of shite" would you like a laxative

At the end of WW2 the germans had developed the V1 rocket. It was like a large mortar. They calculated fuel consumption, launched them towards London, they ran out of fuel and dropped from the sky.
However, at the very end they developed the V2. Now this bad boy was ballistic, and had a guidance system. Eisenhower said fck taking Berlin, go find the team that invented this, could be quite useful. They found Werner Van Braun.....and made him an offer he couldnt refuse.
I guess you could say he "picked" Huntsville though, sounds a little more civil
My best friend growing up, his dad worked for NASA. At one point head of mission control for Spacelab. Heck congress brought him out of retirement to testify about what he thought went wrong when the shuttle exploded. A brilliant engineer. I once told him that and his repsonse "Yeah I thought I was pretty smart.....til I went to work with Von Braun, the man is other worldly in his thought process".
Very nice he picked the good guys, few realize credit he deserves for our space program. Heck I have a friend, Delta pilot, years ago called me. He said you are from Huntsville, I had a pilot with me this week we overnighted there and he invited me to come visit his grandfather. Big mansion on a mountain. This guy had moon rocks, parts of rockets and stuff, isnt that the governments, how can this guy have it in his home. I said was the man Van Braun? He said yes. I said, well he did put the astronauts on the moon I guess he can keep a few of the rocks they brought back

Won't the Dems just put it back in Colorado when they regain power?
