A Stillwater, Oklahoma teen recently convicted of raping two high school students returned to court Monday, where he was met by protesters.
Jesse Butler was convicted as a youthful offender. In October, a judge relieved Butler of serving any jail time, sparking Public outrage.
Monday, the court determined Jesse Butler is in compliance with the terms of his youthful offender agreement. This allows him to remain on probation.
However, a judge warned him that if he violates that agreement, he’ll go to prison for a very long time, as an adult.
Outside the Payne County courthouse, protestors made the message clear: no jail, no justice.
In March, following reports of assault by 2 high-school students in Stillwater, police arrested Jesse Butler at home.
Initially facing a 78-year sentence on multiple charges related to rape, Butler was granted youthful offender status. After a conviction in August, Butler, the son of a prominent family, was placed on probation, avoiding jail.
Butler is required to complete a youthful offender rehabilitation plan that includes court-mandated community service and counseling.
Exiting the Payne County courthouse, Monday protesters surrounded Butler and his family members as they were escorted out a back entrance.
Butler’s family members and his survivors were in court on Monday. A protester confronted Butler’s father and asked him why he chose to support a rapist.

Was this a questionable "date rape" situation, or a violent assault rape?

He apparently choked one of the girls out in order to rape her. Was facing 78 years

I would imagine probation doesn't come with protection from the victim's family.

His father was previously tied to Oklahoma State University where he was the former director of operations for Oklahoma State University's football team, the USA TODAY Network previously reported. In addition, the special judge who granted Butler youthful offender status, Susan Worthington, also has longstanding ties to OSU, where she earned two bachelor's degrees

The first time Kate alleged Butler abused her was about a month after they started seeing each other, according to an arrest warrant affidavit detailing her police interview. The couple was sitting on the bed of his pickup truck at a Sonic drive-in – and he made unwanted advances, the affidavit said.
"She told Butler 'no,' but he continued to grab and slap her buttocks and touch her breasts. Butler became angry, grabbed her arm, spun her around, and threw her on the ground. This action left scratches on her arm, which Butler laughed about," the document said. That showed Kate "that Butler would use physical force on her, if she did not comply with his sexual demands," according to the affidavit.
It got worse from there, Kate told investigators.
Housesitting for a family friend in late July 2024, Butler visited Kate and said he wanted to have sex, according to police records. But Kate said "she did not want to do anything at the house. Butler became angry, came up behind her, put his arm around her neck, and strangled to unconsciousness. She could not breathe, scratched at his arms, and tried to get away, but could not free herself." When she woke up on the living room floor, Kate told police she found "red marks across her neck."
Then “approximately 15 minutes after strangling her, Butler initiated sexual intercourse with her," according to the affidavit. Kate reported to police that she "complied out of fear."
Later in the week, Butler again choked her, according to police records – and he filmed it. Again, Kate told police "she complied with him out of fear of him."
"Butler told her he wanted to strangle her, so he could film it on his phone," according to the affidavit. "Butler got on top of [Kate] to watch her pass out. He set up his phone to record it, so he could watch it later. [Kate] lost consciousness on this occasion as well," police records said.
According to the affidavit, investigators searching Butler's phone found a video from Aug. 1, 2024, which they said backed up what Kate had alleged: it showed Butler "strangling [Kate] until unconsciousness."
Kate's father said he's in "disbelief" at what his daughter says happened to her at such a young age – and by someone so young.
"It's like, how do they even know to do that? Like, normal kids, that's not how you live, so, it's just kind of disbelief that could happen, especially to my child," Austin said.

Maybe the Jury would have Mercy for this Girls Daddy if he took care of the issue himself.

Sometimes the only justice you can get is street.

His father used to be the director of football operations or something at Oklahoma State. Probably why he got the special treatment. Judge was an alum.

He's definitely got serious mental issues and will likely hurt someone else in the future. shite like this makes my blood boil. Those girl's poor parents. As a father Im not sure how I would deal with knowing that frick is out there.

I'm certain how I would handle it. But I'm kind of a sociopath myself.

I'm certain of how I'd WANT to handle it, but that would take me away from my daughter for the rest of both our lives.
However, if I bring someone along with me who is stronger than me, to pull me off of the kid before I went too far, I'm sure I wouldn't do too much time for assault and battery causing serious bodily injury. That crime, if no weapon is used, only carries an eight year max sentence in Louisiana according to google. And being that I have no previous record, I feel like I could possibly get a much lighter sentence than the max. And I'd be okay with that.

Ugly fat slob. No wonder he had to choke girls out, no one wants to be under that thing voluntarily. I wonder where he is going to college...i would make up posters and put them up everywhere on the campus, go on that yik yak site and blast him on there too...any and all social media. Make him hate his life and he also needs to be choked out too.

Of course, but then they'll throw the book at the vigilante for doing what the justice system failed to do.
The system should be held accountable too. I'm so sick of this.

shite like that makes my blood boil.
The girl’s dad should be able to handle this if the courts won’t.
Partially why I teach my daughters how to defend themselves. This little fricker would have walked away from one of my daughters with hemorrhaging testicals.

I don't think I could stop myself from beating the shite out this loser if he touched my daughter. Talk about a face begging for a fist. Or a bat.

If he rapes another girl, then the judge should be held liable.
Piece of shite rapist should already be under the prison or dead.

Street justice is often times the best justice.

Some youthful offenders just need a good killing.
