"The names that get thrown out right away, you hear about Kalen DeBoer at Alabama. I've been told he's very comfortable there, he's got a great recruiting class coming in, alignment, portal - he seems pretty happy there."
Then threw out college coaches Jedd Fisch and Drink and followed up with NFL coaches as possibilities mentioning Jim Harbaugh's experience. Pointed out that Michigan is in poorer position this late in the game after all of the recent high profile coach changes and coaches that stayed and got raises.

This is what happens when you prioritize recruits over coaches. Now they have very little to pick from.

Yes, the timing for Michigan is indeed terrible here.
The lure of that place and their tradition would still make that an appealing job and I would think they will wind up making a decent hire.

I’d go for Jessie Minter if I were them. They’re not taking Deboer from bama.

The moment Les Miles has been waiting for his entire life.

Fisch is the ultimate mercenary. He’d be on that plane in two seconds if offered.

Feels like a Fisch special is imminent.

Sounds like they’re gonna fire the ad. Does Michigan have a verge ausberry in their back pocket?

Yea, but to be fair I doubt their AD had “coach driving around the hood, going door to door with a knife at his throat” on his white board

Kenzel Kelly would thrive in Ann Arbor

When the hell did the word “alignment” become so popular with college football programs. All these coaches love throwing that shite out there lol

Michigan is gonna have to hire an AD before they do anything because the guy they have now is toast

I know right. If I hear that and “complimentary football” one more time I’m a lose my shite.

What "alignment" for CFB really means: how much boosters are willing to contribute without butting in

That was after the firing.
And from what we can gather, the AD had “my coach is fricking a subordinate and got her pregnant” on his white board for a while.

Then hire a stop-gap until you can find a permanent replacement. LSU did it with relative success with Van Chancellor and WBB after the Pokey Affair. I have a name in mind and it's Brian Kelly.

I think it came in the same jargon pack as "explosives" and "physicality".
Some MBA thought it up. We do that sort of shite.

Brian Kelly is available.
