This is a wild offseason. LSU, Penn St, Michigan, Ole Miss, Michigan St, etc. I can't remember another one with this many openings at big programs.

2021 had lsu UF usc Oklahoma ND Oregon Miami
The biggest difference is we didn’t have lane kiffin loving the process

Objectively, this had already beaten 2021 before Michigan even opened up.
Ole Miss
UF
LSU
Auburn
Arkansas
Penn St
Michigan
Now maybe Notre Dame?
And either one of those latter two would almost assuredly be hunting for a proven coach.

Ole Miss Arkansas and auburn are all minor jobs compared to Miami and Oregon. Auburn is the only one that is even close and still nowhere close in terms of resources and potential.
Add in usc OU and ND you are talking about 3 jobs as big or bigger than Michigan and PSU.
Obviously UF and LSU=UF and LSU

Ole Miss was 11-1 and is in the playoff.
It’s not a big opening, but it was big movement. Tulane as well, for that matter.
If we are just setting program prestige / resources as the bar, OU does not belong in the same tier as Michigan IMO.
(Also, Michigan is in fact open so we shouldn’t ignore that).
If ND or Bama actually come open then there’s legitimately no argument & this is the undisputed all-time CCB. Regardless, it has definitely been the most fun lol.

USC OU and ND (as a whole)>Michigan and PSU.

I do agree here. Like I said Lanes social media saavy/hyper aware and intentionally played right into it made the drama top 2021

I’ll humor this Oregon as far as resources are concerned. Miami on either account, just no.

We’re going to be talking about the 2025 college football coaching carousel in the 2080s

2009–2010 was wild
Mike Leach vs. Tech (their GOAT coach), Tubervile of all people takes his place
Jim Leavitt fired from USF for striking player (their GOAT coach)
Mark Mangino resigns from Kansas after investigations into abuse against players (their GOAT coach)
Weis fired from Notre Dame, Brian Kelly leaves undefeated Cincy before BCS bowl for Notre Dame
Urban Meyer’s first instance of “health issues” flaring up and it’s rumored that his resignation is imminent. No more Tebow and roster is a mess. He ends up staying one more year.
Pete Carroll leaves USC for Seahawks as USC faces sanctions from Bush case. Kiffin bolts to USC from Tennessee after a wild year that included shite talking Urban Meyer. Tennessee fans burn shite to the ground.
Derek Dooley leaves La Tech for Tennessee. Tech fans swear he’s the next Saban because he has great hair. Successor Sonny Dykes ends up being better.
