Shreveport - Boyfriend runs off with wife after shooting husband in both legs

On December 1st, just before 8 PM, officers responded to 740 Highland Square where they found a man lying in the roadway with two gunshot wounds to his lower body.
Our officers immediately jumped into action—applying tourniquets to both of his legs and providing critical care that doctors say likely saved his life. Shreveport Fire arrived shortly after and transported him for further treatment.
According to the victim, his wife and her boyfriend arrived at the residence in a black Nissan Altima. After a heated argument, he realized he’d been shot, and the pair fled the area.
Detectives quickly identified the suspected shooter, known as “AD,” as Aderius Benton. On December 8th at around 9:30 AM, Benton was arrested and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Homicide.
