Does Ole Miss know

that Lane is allowing his assistants to return so they can torpedo their playoff run?
They cant be that naive... right?
Do people actually think a man with LSU money already in his pocket is going to make his future 5+ years any harder than it already is, I mean c'mon.
He's not gonna let this Ole Miss "elite" conversation last any longer than it already has.
With that being said, that Chambliss kid is nice and would look great in P&G.

They’re not elite anymore with DUI Golding at the helm whether they win the natty this year or not. Lane doesn’t need to sabotage anything, we got the guy who built Ole Miss into something relevant and we took basically the entire supporting cast as well

I'm guessing there are some guard rails in place protecting both sides.
It is a very unique arrangement.

Considering lane gets a bonus if they win, i think theyll try hard to win. Would be pretty lame not to

Downvote me to hell. Ik this comes off as exagerated, but we can agree that this is CLEARLY A CONFLICT OF INTREST and LSU is writing the checks soooo

As with all sports, I root against the other SEC schools in the playoffs.
It doesn’t help the Tigers any for another school to promote their post season success to recruits that LSU is also pursuing.

FFS can we move on already? We screwed over OM by taking their coach. They’re yesterdays news now. Go troll their site if that’s how you get your jollies.

He's sending them there so they'll get playoff experience.

They aren't going to torpedo anything. They are professionals. They are playing for a championship. That thirst to win will dominate any petty emotions.

That is one of the most dumb, juvenile thing I've ever seen on the Rant.
You think those coaches who have a relationship with the Rebel players would do that? You think Kffin doesn't care about the players he left behind?
You just sound petty, envious and vindictive.

Why don’t you do a little investigating on your white knight?

This thread is misguided from the start. I think Kiffin wants to see these young men go as far and play as well as they possibly can. I truly believe he wants the best for them. He likely promised them this success when he recruited them and also will find personal satisfaction knowing that he coached them to this position. As an LSU fan, I don’t care how they do but they should beat Tulane easily and have a legitimate shot of winning it all. I believe they are better than Texas Tech.

We have an LSU Head football coach going to the aid of Ole Miss! What has Tigerdom turned into?
Screw Ole Miss!
Screw Ole Miss!

What does that even mean?
Posted on 12/9/25 at 6:29 am to Settlement Alliance
The frick are you talking about.
They are going to try to win a CFP. And if Weis and all these guys get that experience, it will translate to success at LSU because they know what it is like.
All this is is evidence that Keith Carter didn’t let Lane coach the CFP out of pure hurt feelings. The fact that no one is castigating him for this decision is evidence that Lane is a great heel and the media loves drama.
Well, fine. LSU can play the villain.
And if the evil minions of the Dark Lord Lane can go win a natty and understand that better (and get the Dark Lord Lane even more money in the process), so much the better.

My hell, Grow Up
You’re basically accusing Kiffin, Weis and company of being the 1919 Whitesox and throwing the Worldseries, errr CFP. Maybe they bench Chambliss and put Shoeless Joe Jackson under center…
Come on man, these guys are professional, ultra competitive and everyone of them is an Alfa dog. They want to win and want it bad. I am sure CLK even wants them to win bad.
Not to mention, if they go out and advance and play strong what does that do for Weis, Golding and company as far as resume goes? Can you imagine if they win it all how that would catapult Weis to the top of everyone’s coaches search?
They are playing to win and win big. I wish them luck.

No need to torpedo anything. They hired Pete Golding as HC who cannot decide if he will HC from booth or sideline…

Maybe he decided against giving the shaft to all of his former players and a program that gave him a chance.
