On a scale of 1-Bayliner, how bad is this refit gonna be and who is the best yard to bring it to?

Anywhere on the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas, I live in Louisiana and just want it done right.

Have no idea how this was even possible- boat was on its lift about 4' above the water and at least 4' away from the dock.

Any recommendation for a yard to do it?

Pull off the cushions, bring to upholstery shop. A few hundred. Order hoses and replace yourself: $50 and some busted knuckles. What kind of “refit” do
You mean?

If they chewed those hoses, I'm guessing all of his electrical wiring is probably chewed up too.

This. You've probably got some wrecked wiring in there.

That green bait is nothing but candy to rats. Buy "Just One Bite" brand.

Perhaps, but I looked close at photos and they do not show any chewed wiring. My point is that this is a pretty easy fix.

I was so disgusted yesterday, I only looked at the plumbing. I am cautiously optimistic that the wiring is good.

Problem is- boat has a head, interior sink, rear bait station sink, baitwell, raw and fresh water washdown and it all needs to be redone.

Also disgusting is that the $6000/year insurance policy I have with GEICO marine has rodents as a named exclusion- check your policies if you have GEICO through Boat US.

Good news is that I am absolutely capable to do the work and do it right. I rigged all the new electronics on it and it's yacht quality. So, I guess I know what I'll be up to the next few months- I'm gonna pull all the plumbing out.

Would be a damn shame if the boat sank, eliminating the rodent clause.

Going out on a big sturdy limb here, Vermin are almost always exclude cause of loss on 99% of insurance policies. Latent defects is also 99.9% exclude cause of loss.
You’ll be lucky if they don’t non-renew after this. Bets are high that they chewed up plenty of wiring also.

Really it’s not bad regarding the hoses but they need to be replaced. I would take it to any marine mechanic to do the hoses. Wouldn’t be that expensive.

To repair upholstery get the lube ready.
