I was told on here last week that the rule changed last year that you can have as many coaches. You want on the sideline.

Isn't that true?

I notice they delete his threads.

I wonder if he threatened legal action.

You can have as many coaches as you want during practice. There is a limit to game day coaches and coaches that are available to recruit. But yeah, not sure what Moscona keeps rambling about.

No, their is a limit to the coaches that coach on the sideline. Everybody else is support staff.

From CoPilot

Great question! Here’s the current situation:

On-field coaching limits have been removed
As of June 2024, the NCAA Division I Council voted to eliminate the previous cap of 11 “countable” coaches (head coach + 10 assistants). Now, any staff member can provide technical and tactical instruction during practices and games, meaning there is no limit on the number of sideline coaches who can coach during games. ESPN

Recruiting limits remain
For FBS programs, only 11 staff members (head coach + 10 assistants) can recruit off-campus. FCS programs are allowed 13. Service academies get four extra recruiters. This restriction is still in place to maintain competitive balance. NCAA

Sideline personnel limit
While coaching limits are gone, the NCAA rules still restrict the team area to squad members in uniform plus a maximum of 50 other individuals (trainers, coaches, staff, etc.). These individuals must have proper credentials. Medical personnel are exempt from the 50-person cap.
Sportscollaboration

So, in short:
-Unlimited coaches can give instruction on the sideline.
-Only 50 non-uniformed personnel are allowed in the team area during games.
-Recruiting limits still apply.

The limit is only on recruiters now.

But a recruiter must be a regular coach with contact with players.

You can’t have people who are 100% recruiters.

This is where the Frank Wilson not being a on the field coach gets interesting. How would that work?

It probably wouldn’t. I’m sure Frank wouldn’t be as effective if he can’t go in home and walk the halls of the Catholic League schools.

Limit to those that can go on road to recruit
He’s whining about franks role
How about let the new coach decide on his own staff
Even Frank said it, lsu is bigger then any coach

I remember when everyone wanted Jay to keep Cain on staff

He would be on field. Give him a title like "run game coordinator" and let someone else coach RB while Wilson runs recruiting.

He had an extremely profane tirade about TD on whiskey and whine once.

Apparently we're a bunch of motherfricking cunts.

Takes one to know one, Moscona, you fricking bald pussy.
