Easily with a close loss. Probably drop them to 11 or 12 and then say "but they lost to Jawja in a close one! Can you find me 12 teams really better than Alabammer?"

Hasn’t the CFP committee said that the conference championship games won’t be held against the loser? If they were in the top 12 before, they are still in.

Or am I way off?

Of course they do. There’s a reason why the committee moved them ahead of ND this week. It was basically to lock them in the playoffs no matter the outcome of the SEC title game.

Absolutely NOT! I’m so sick and dang tired of everyone bowing down to the gumps! At some point you have to actually WIN GAMes to get in! Why do they keep letting BACKDOOR U get away with this garbage!

Wins matter. Unless your Bama.

So if LSU were in Alabama’s position and had the same resume as Alabama, you don’t think LSU should be considered one of the 12 best teams in the country?

If either Ole Miss and A&M played an ever-so-slightly tougher SEC schedule, Bama is sitting at home this weekend, locked into the Top 12

If they'd be a lock without earning a spot in the game, how aren't they a lock period?

I can't change your mind, because it's correct. A lot of people don't want to hear it, but it's not up to them. They will cope and seethe however they must

If LSU was playing in the SEC Championship, yes, LSU gets in. As long as Alabama doesn't get blown out they'll have a spot between 10-12

So the game doesn’t matter?

If the argument is alabama shouldn’t drop if they lose then they also shouldn’t drop UGA if they lose or move alabama up if they win.

I don't know why people still think the committee is infatuated with bama. A lot of the members can't stand the south. They proved they are just another team last year.

And yes, if Bama loses by a couple of scores or more they are absolutely out.

They weren't in before today's game.

Alabama was the #1 team in the SEC in the regular season. They're getting in, even the betting sites (-550) to make the playoffs back that theory
