Does the OT prefer Dallas or Houston?

They both seem the same to me. Dallas maybe more cosmopolitan, Houston with more of the old guard oil money, but both sprawling, endless metros. Both have some really nice parts, and both have a fair share of hood rat shenanigans happening. Which one do you baws prefer?

Dallas is a whole lot more pretentious. Tons of $30k/year millionairs. The material flexing is out of control.
Houston seems more down to earth, middle to upper middle class good ol’ people.
Both have tons of Mexicans killing people drunk driving every night. Mostly wrong way crashes.
My vote is Houston. The over flexing Jones are just unbearable in Dallas.

I live in Arlington, but don't go into Dallas much unless for an event. Both areas are good for jobs but really suck as there are too many people. Hopefully I can retire to east Tennessee away from a ton of people.

And black people shooting each other. And Muslims trying to blow up the place...

The correct answer should be ‘neither’ but the way you worded the question the answer is ‘Houston’
Also Dallas may have the worse year round weather than any other major city in the country. At least other places have at least one good season, they are all miserable in DFW

I prefer Dallas, but that's because Dallas was closer to Waco, so I went there more often in college

Depends on what you’re looking for.
A one nighter with a heavily modified (read plastic surgery altered) hottie? Dallas - specifically either Uptown or somewhere like Highland Park like Park House or Inwood Tavern.
A more chill, less fake place to really enjoy? Houston.

Pains me to say it, but I gotta go with Houston. The roads are less confusing. But still pretty damn confusing sometimes. Dallas is probably nicer, but they have a very unattractive superiority complex.

Grew up close to Dallas but now prefer Houston. Humidity > Freezing cold, blustery heat, and Tornadoes

Dallas has far superior surrounding lakes over Houston but the pretentiousness of the people there gives the nod to Houston but not by much.

I prefer Dallas. Neither is an aesthetically nice city (naturally), but Dallas is probably better overall. Both have awful weather/climate, but prefer DFW. Seems more vibrant. Houston and Dallas are both "sprawl" cities but I'm not sure any city reflects the sprawl characteristic as much as Houston.
Both are good places to live.

This.
Lived in both cities. Houston is just more blue collar, relaxing.

Generally speaking I think the OT prefers Houston but to me, Dallas is so much better

As someone who only started spending time in Houston a couple of years ago: it’s not the roads; it’s the signage. I’ll have a route plugged into my gps, know exactly what I’m looking for on a split, and I sometimes still miss the split I want because the only sign is placed essentially on top of the split. Hope you were already in the correct lane, because if not, enjoy your re-route. I genuinely don’t understand the logic.

I’m totally realistic about the pros and cons of both. Houston is awful. God awful weather and somehow worse traffic
And the “bad hombres” seem to be more scattered around Houston. I live in the city of Dallas and don’t lock my doors.
With that said, from an aesthetic and things to do outside point of view, both are pretty bad

More floods and hurricanes in Houston, more ice storms and droughts in Dallas.
Heck of a choice.

I've lived in both and could make an argument for either but as I've gotten older I prefer the Far North Dallas suburbs.
I'm going to start my Indian language program next week so I can fit in though

Houston and surrounding areas seem like a hellhole with tons of stray dogs running around. To me, it’s indicative of its citizens.
