He might be the best offensive player in the NFL. Electrifying out of the backfield. If he was on a media darling he would be front of the league.

The Lions are the definition of a media darling.

Is that why he went #2 in fantasy drafts?

I dunno about underrated. Certainly not by fantasy football folks. He is a cheat code. Real life, he seems to move a bit faster than anyone else. Its fun to watch.

I took him number 3 in my fantasy draft. This will be the 2nd year in a row he had the most PPR points for running back.

I made a thread last year saying James cook was a top 5 back and got ridiculed and sent to the gulag

So I would say he is clearly the most underrated RB

Underrated and overrated are such overused words in sports especially it’s always the MOST underrated or overrated that dominate discussions

Gibbs gets lots of praise (deservedly) for his performance. He’s most definitely not the most underrated

We do this every week a running back blows up against the cowboys D. It’s been happening all year. Gibbs is a top 5 back though IMO.

When he was at Bama he was the scariest part of that offense. If you wanted to beat them you had to control him.

Through 45 career games:

better YPC than Barry Sanders (Gibbs is actually #1 all time for backs with at least 500 carries)

More touchdowns that Jerry Rice

More yards than Emmitt Smith.

Has done the following in his last 7 games- A game with:
250+ scrimmage yards
200+ rush yards
100+ receiving yards
10+ catches
14.0 YPC in a game
3 rushing touchdowns
a 75 yard rushing TD

He's checked all those boxes in the last 7 games. Nobody else in NFL history has checked them all in their career

He's on all time great, FBHOF trajectory

He's always been a stud. Easiest money I ever made was an over/under of 22 yards receiving in his last game with Bama. His first catch was a 60 yard touchdown on the first or second drive.

Well I would hope you think so. Everyone in the NFL knows he is top 3.
