when i quit drinking, i try to stick to wine... 1, 2, or 2.5 glass max.

About 1.5-2 bottles of wine per night. Half a bottle of liquor if it’s a liquor night.

I quit all my vices last year it’s weird. I feel like I’ve changed completely sometimes it does suck. I miss how music sounded and that awesome buzz. Quit for personal reasons but I do think it’s good to have a method of “escape”

I was only temporarily a heavy drinker in my mid to late 20's. But I used to drink 3-4 a day ever since that timeline, and I'm in my mid 40s now. I quit drinking anything Monday thru Thursday for an MMA type class I joined a year and a half ago, and I allow myself 3 per day friday/saturday/sunday.

a perfect balance for me, right now. football saturdays don't count for 3. i splurge there.

took almost zero effort oddly, outside of being a little bored when i normally wouldn't be. but the effect it has had on my body in the positive is noteworthy. even though I still have weekend drinks.

What type a sick you talking about ? Withdrawal sick ? DT’s ? The real ones will kill you. Get detoxed with professional oversight.

Every night?

That can't be good baw. Get your bloodwork done if this has been going on a long time to see if your liver enzymes are out of whack which could indicate some serious issues.

I don’t think it’s to the point of DTs. I went through that about 4 years ago. Just pretty damn sick.

I got it done about 6 months ago. Slightly elevated but nothing serious. Just don’t wanna continue like that bc it will end up putting me into the ground early.

April of 2022. Best decision i ever made. I ended up having DTs and seizures but the pain was only temporary.

That's a lot. I commend you for understanding you need to quit. For the alcoholics who were in my family, they never could quit. My great uncle died of a ruptured cirrhotic liver.
