Since when did Ole Miss become on par with LSU?

This national cry against Kiffin for leaving Ole Miss for LSU is a load of bullshite!
People acting like Ole Miss is historically on par with LSU, is ludicrous!
People get caught up in the fact Ole Miss just came off of 6 great years because of Lane, likely their best 6 year run in program history. Acting like leaving is a disaster, and Lane won’t succeed at LSU.
LSU has 3 National Titles since 2003, and has played for another. Ole Miss hasn’t done anything in 60 years before Lane. The reason Ole Miss is relevant right now is because of Lane!
So I ask when did Ole Miss become on par with LSU? Ole Miss is a stepping stone, and has always been. LSU is a top 5 job in CFB, by the time Lane leaves maybe everybody will see it as THE BEST job.
These national talking heads are speaking out of their arse with this faux outrage. Acting like Ole Miss is even a hair on LSU’s arse is blasphemy.
I’m ready to take on the villain role, and I know all of y’all are too. This outrage is pure jealousy, and fear of LSU becoming a behemoth.

You are so right. I remember back in the day. Even Billy Brewer who was coaching at Ole Miss. At that time somebody had asked him about the LSU job and he point blank said yes. I would leave Ole Miss for the LSU job and that was way back in the day. My brother so yes, Ole Miss is was and will all be a stepping stone

If it is, then I did not get the memo

They never have been. LSU is miles ahead of Ole Miss in almost every metric in which you can measure the quality of a college football program:

love this guy defending Kiffin

LSU is so much better than OM that Ed was probably one of their biggest failures as a coach and he was the architect of the best college football season ever at LSU.

Late 50s early 60s.
The Archie era was sort of their dying gasp of SEC/National true relevance.

These fools forget how shitty Ole Miss was outside of a few Hugh Freeze seasons before Kiffin showed up.

They were only a so so blue blood program when only white boys could play SEC football.

They have been the better program the past 3 years

Because of Lane, and because of slack-off Brian.

If Ole Miss has three natties then we have AT LEAST five. Maybe six.

64k stadium is 40k behind LSU. At 200$ a seat that is 8mil. X 7 or 8 a year. OM enrollment is half of LSU’s. Double the students double the Alumni. Let’s don’t even start comparing the history of the two programs. Just the tip of the Tiger tail.

Hahahaha (evil Sexton laugh)

No sane person seriously believes this

Things are different in NIL/Transfer Portal era. Who the hell would think Vandy would be 10-2 and flip a 5 star QB today. Also look at Indiana and Texas Tech

LSU is not a "bad guy" here. They acted in their best interest to try to hire the person who they thought was the best coach they could hire. If Kiffin didn't want the LSU job he could have turned it down.
That said, you are delusional if you think LSU fans wouldn't be acting the EXACT same way and celebrating the opinions of every pundit criticizing Kiffin if the roles were reversed. I.e. Kiffin choosing to take another job on the (relative) eve of the CFP and taking his offensive staff with him.
LSU is the "winner" in this situation, so why should any LSU fan get bent out of shape over what the national media thinks? Their opinions are no more relevant than anyone else on this board.

Def gonna get downvoted because of the hivemind narrative but NIL played a massive roll in the change. Didnt ole miss break out the pocket book for a top squad a year or two ago and he didnt achieve anything?
Cant ignore the fact that the playing field has been completely leveled. Everyones upsetting everyone else on any given day. Hell, ole miss beat a nobody 24-21, less of a score gap then us. We beat florida and florida beat them. Its happeneing everywhere.
Another thing, please go rewatch lsu vs ole miss and tell me youd kill for their coach. Me and an ole miss fan were talking smack for a week leading up to that game and we both agreed we should both be embarrassed as hell. No bias available, i said that that was the worst coached game id ever seen in D1 football or above.
Ill get plenty of downvotes for bringing reality in but no replys on why im wrong, though im a bit off subject admittedly.

When did Ol Piss win a natty, much less 3?
They've never even won the SEC
And 38th in heisman winners, (out of 134?)
Sounds more like tied for 134th with 0.
