tag or freeze tag?

i'm pretty sure we never called it 'tag' growing up.
also, we didn't play kick-the-can because we only had a ball and that motherfricker would get kicked to the moon if you weren't diligent when you were 'it'. good luck winning at that point
and while we're at it..anyone ever the 'end' of the whip playing crack the whip?
my lord you would get launched across the yard like a missile. there was no graceful way of landing when you got shot off the end of that thing.

Tag: a guy was “it” and would tag you.
Then you were it. Then you’d tag someone.
Freeze Tag: a guy was it and he tagged you out and you froze until someone unfroze you.
Both need to be reintroduced to society with dodgeball for kids tk have fun and…..exercise.

Tag and freeze tag were two different games where I grew up. Tag - if you get tagged, you are now It (or sometimes they'd join teams with whoever was it and it became a last man standing kind of thing). Freeze tag- if you get tagged, you have to stand in place until someone not frozen touches you and you are unfrozen. Whoever is it is trying to freeze everyone.

This is the correct answer, they are two different terms, not one term for the same thing.

he was the 'last man standing' on his team and was getting hammered by the other team but finally managed to catch one and called3 buddies back in and they ended up winning
i totally got his 'high' from that. great memory he'll have.

We played roundup tag. One person would start as "it" (usually whoever won the last game). Anyone you tagged would also be "it" until all but 1 was it. That person was the winner.

I remember playing both. In tag, a person became “it” once tagged. In freeze tag, if the “it” person touch you, you froze until someone unfroze you.

Cops & robbers: Split the crew into 2 teams. Cops have to chase the robbers and bring them to the prison. Fattest teammate was the guard for the prisoners.
Robbers could cause a jail break by breaking into the prison and help any prisoners escape by tagging them before the guard catches you.
