Humble,TX

$7400 prop tax.
3577sqft

factor in Lousiana prop tax and income tax, it would approach $6K. so in reality, that $7400 prop tax bill isnt that bad.

$267K does not include the landscape upgrade.
complete house footage

like most every house in Texas! They love ugly brick and stone. At least its not the ugly red brick they use all over Dallas.

How big is the lot?

I haven't seen a new house that I didn't consider ungodly ugly for at least ten years. They TRY to make these houses look fancy with all the angles on the roof and in the rooms and shite.

That house isn't ugly at all.

It's your typical two-story new construction house. Not sure I would call it ugly though.

woodridge house

granted, woodridge is innercity, while Humble is 40mins outside of Houston.

If they get $350 for that house in Woodridge, I should get $550 for mine.

But yeah housing in Houston is dirt cheap, even with the ugly three tone brick/stone.

the cost to build a house in texas on average runs $80 a sq foot. here its up to $125 a sq foot. thats the difference and the tax rate is outragous in most areas. but they have great schools .

The red brick will be 2 houses down with brown sandstone worked in.

Chicken, it is no Acadian style that's for sure.

Other than the overblown landscape, thats' a nice house.

The whole left side looks like an addition and they couldn't get windows to match.

Agreed. Plus it looks like you could reach out your bathroom window and touch the walls of the next house over. I mean, if you're going to buy a house that big, don't you also want a lot?
