Hard to say he’s never been a head coach. He’s a fun hire because he’s more of an unknown.

This. I have friends and family who are Ok St fans and they’re all ecstatic.

I dont see how you can make that claim when he has exactly zero experience as a head coach.

Maybe high upside, which for UK, is worth the risk, but I wouldn’t say he’s the best hire based on no head coaching experience.

I like what Auburn did. I also like what Michigan State did. If Penn State gets Brohm I'll like that too.

It's a mistake for Stein. No one will ever make Kentucky good at football. He could've gone to a big 12 ACC or G5 school and been successful for a few years and then gotten a major SEC/Big 10 job

If the boosters and admin stay out of the way I would say Auburn did

I think Stein bringing back the air raid to Kentucky a la Mike Leach makes them decent again. Stoops system of defense and running the ball wasn’t getting them anywhere. Arkansas should start running some version of the triple option like Vandy to make themselves respectable again. I’ve always felt SEC bottom feeders need to have a schematic edge to maintain relevancy.

We'll see. Sumrall will do great at Florida. If Stein hires a quality DC, we might be really competitive going forward.

I like how stein is so multiple and creative in the running game.

Personally, I think the order is below.

1. LSU (Coach Lane Kiffin)
2. Auburn (Coach Alex Golesh)
3. Oklahoma State (Coach Eric Morris)
4. Kentucky (Coach Will Stein)
5. Florida (Coach Sumrall)
6. Penn State (Coach Kalani Sitake)

Sumrall, Eric Morris, Will Stein & Golesh will all turn out to be good but I think of all these guys winning at KY is probably going to be tough because of access to recruits, NIL budget etc.

I assumed that Penn State will hire Coach Sitake. If not then

LSU if Kiffin doesn’t call Sexton in 12 months and say “float my name for the opening at (fill in the blank)”

Otherwise, prolly Auburn. Might have said KY if the timing were different and they hired Sumrall.
