Which melts are more incredible: Ole Miss or national media types?

For example: Lane Kiffin shows the college football world he is who we thought he was, and that's not good
The general trend in this media melt is the dishonesty that Ole Miss is a major program and a title contender this year. For instance, from this article:
These media types are fricking losers and they always show it in situations like this. They basically want Kiffin to remain in a place where he has no chance of winning a title, and they're willing to lie about his chances because of the feels.
Here is the biggest pussy of them all, Dan Wolken, with his hilarious satire of modern media: Lane Kiffin's disastrous exit from Ole Miss spells a much deeper problem in college football
1. Engage in the dishonesty over-valuing Ole Miss and their chances this year
2. Engage in secondary-level dishonesty by promoting misinformation from Ole Miss
I was iffy about the Kiffin hire but did enjoy the spectacle of the three team competition creating bantz. However, this Woke-in article just made everything so clear. I literally did not think this level of melt was possible, let alone from a disinterested party.
His comparisons and arguments are on the level of the poli board. I am legit wondering who the audience is for this shite. This is writing for emotional women, who are unlikely to give a shite about a football coach leaving (Especially during Christmas season). Is this the classic "sports writer who hates sports because they're not actual journalists so they hope by shitting on them they gain fans in a media form they consider legitimate" meme?
The general trend in this media melt is the dishonesty that Ole Miss is a major program and a title contender this year. For instance, from this article:
quote:
It could’ve stopped with the Rebels, the squad he transformed into a national championship contender when few thought such a thing possible -- and the university that transformed him into a coveted candidate when few would have believed it. Squeezed between the SEC power to the East, Alabama, and the other to the West, LSU, he made the Rebels into 2025’s best football team in the Deep South.
At Oxford, he could have remained for years and been unchallenged by social media strategists, and bossy boosters. He would’ve owned the town like no one since Faulkner. and he would’ve made more money than he could count.
The road to the top of college football, or at least to the players likely to carry a program there, will be less treacherous at LSU than it has been for him in Mississippi. But that is the only element of the position that will carry less danger.
These media types are fricking losers and they always show it in situations like this. They basically want Kiffin to remain in a place where he has no chance of winning a title, and they're willing to lie about his chances because of the feels.
Here is the biggest pussy of them all, Dan Wolken, with his hilarious satire of modern media: Lane Kiffin's disastrous exit from Ole Miss spells a much deeper problem in college football
quote:
One of the teams that has unofficially qualified for that playoff by every traditional metric is the University of Mississippi. Lane Kiffin, the coach who led Ole Miss to that 11-1 record and the best regular season in its post-integration history, resigned Sunday to become the head coach at LSU.
He left after a protracted tug-of-war with administrators at Ole Miss about whether he could coach the team in the playoff while simultaneously leading a historical rival and direct competitor that plays Ole Miss annually. And because Kiffin didn’t get exactly what he wanted — there was simply no way Ole Miss officials could let him coach their team (and potentially recruit their players) for the next month — he did his level best to burn the place to the ground, reportedly issuing ultimatums to his staff that they needed to leave with him immediately or they wouldn’t be welcome in Baton Rouge.

2. Engage in secondary-level dishonesty by promoting misinformation from Ole Miss
quote:
Kiffin leaving the No. 7 team in the country to take a job with another SEC program before the sport’s marquee event is bad for the product, and no other well-run sports league would tolerate it.
Yet in all the years of listening to administrators like Sankey fret about the unsustainability of the current model and wring their hands about how fans will react if college athletes got paid like professionals or the harm done to bowl games when players opt out, have you heard even a whisper of concern about what the adults are doing to wreck the legitimacy of their sport?
Why does anyone in college football accept this as a normal cost of doing business when it crushes a fan base, sabotages a team and devalues your playoff?
quote:
The SEC is a league where a Tennessee coach was once served a subpoena at media days, an Ole Miss coach was fired for calling an escort service on his university phone and an Alabama coach lasted only four months after an unfortunate night at a strip club.
But none of them have done more damage to their profession, the reputation of their conference and the image of the sport than Kiffin walking out on a playoff team and dragging a wrecking ball behind him.
I was iffy about the Kiffin hire but did enjoy the spectacle of the three team competition creating bantz. However, this Woke-in article just made everything so clear. I literally did not think this level of melt was possible, let alone from a disinterested party.

It’s hard because having pretentious loser media that has no personal tie to this melt is entertaining and you know fat Scott would have hated it.
Then you have the personal emotional scorn that ole Miss has that their arch rival who looks down at them came in and took their best coach ever

At least Ole Miss knows the full story and isn't ignorant like the national media.
Ole Miss would be wise to remember where they were before they hired Kiffin. He's raised their program to national relevance

I wonder what the media said when Lincoln left Oklahoma for USC. Somehow I doubt that it was as upsetting to them

They at least have a reason to melt.
They handled this about as bad as you could, and are in complete cope mode as a result, but I get it.
Who the hell is the major media selling their bullshite to? Michigan fans? Are they even doing the "holier than thou" stuff anymore after Harbaugh-gate?

Don't be emotional like Ole Miss fans.

It's just an opinion. It's not hard to make a case that Kiffin could have stayed at OM and continued to be very successful.
There are no guarantees this LSU move will be a great success. It might be a disaster for all parties.
That's life.
Try not to be so triggered by other's opinions.

The national media. They did similar when Saban left Miami for Bama, obviously on a lesser scale. Nobody will care or remember if he wins, especially them.

Successful as in not bad? Sure
Successful as in title contender? No. That's utter dishonesty. It's the lie the entire premise is built on.
You take that dishonesty away and look at it rationally, and this emotional reaction isn't possible.

Literally nobody is arguing that there is any guarantee.
However, LSU is a program capable of winning national titles. That's an objective fact that is not in dispute, as we've done it 3 times in the past 25 years with another title game appearance in 2011.
Your straw man is as dishonest as the framing above.

It’s the national media for me. I sympathize with ole Miss fans, they have a right to be upset.
But the national media created this monster of college football and then stands back saying who did this?

The entire Michigan identity is being smarter and more virtuous than everyone else. You think they will let a massive cheating scandal get in the way of that?

I figured it was a "don't care had sex" scenario after their title

Hit the nail right on the head. The factitious concern about Ole Miss and the “disgusting nature” of CLK from the national media is hilarious to observe.

Was it before OU's began the College Football Playoff?
Look, I get why LSU did what they did, and I understand why Kiffin took the payday and opportunity. However, those of you who "don't understand" why Ole Miss and others around the country see this as an issue just don't want to understand.
What would LSU fans' reactions have been if Nick Saban left the program before the NC Game in 2003? Or if Burrow left LSU before the CFP to transfer to Georgia? They'd have been pissed off as hell, and rightfully so.

One common denominator. They are all woke retard progressive liberals.

The problem is the 12-team playoff that most of these media types supported. It's an unmitigated disaster and created an entirely different sport (along with free transfers).
And Kiffin isn't even the only playoff-contention coach who left. Where are all the articles melting over Sumrall leaving Tulane?

Look, I get the optics of the whole thing but this is just flat out disingenuous. Coaches can get fired mid-season by schools and that’s fine but they can’t leave after the regular season? NBA/NFL players can demand to be traded mid season and that’s fine but this isn’t? CFB players can opt-out of bowl games to preserve their bodies for the NFL and that’s fine but this isn’t? This is done is some form or fashion everywhere.
I’m fine with someone taking issue with what Kiffin is doing—they’re entitled to their opinion. However, he’s throwing stones from a glass house with this “no other league would tolerate this” bullshite. What a whiny tool
