I think actually all 3 tied to LSU could be candidates. O, Baker, or Wilson. I think with Baker he takes it if they offer. Solid program right now in recent years, gets to stay in Louisiana which his wife wants and is from here, alumni, etc. I think Baker is gone. They were offering Sumrall 4 million+ to stay they will just hand that to Baker and double his salary up. I think he's gone.

I feel like he can wait for something better. I know he went there. I doubt they pay him 4Mil.

Source says 3 names to look at now are Tyson Helton, Charles Huff, and Billy Napier.

AD said they would prefer HC experience but didn’t outright exclude coordinators like he did last cycle

Uptown greenie alums will never accept a down-the-bayou Coach O. When he , in front of a large group of O.Miss big boosters, took off his shirt & got down in a 3 point stance, those snobs freaked out.

I actually Napier would be a good hire for Tulane. He's already proven he can do it quite well at that level and Tulane is better than what he had there.

This makes sense. Tulane is in position to be able to take a lower G5 coach and give them a significant promotion and a path to a P4 job.

Napier would be an incredible hire for Tulane. They need a guy who’s already taken his big league shot

If Frank Wilson is hired then there will be a lot of cancelled season tickets.

Yeah, goofing on “Sunbelt Billy” being Florida’s coach was fun, but I feel like Napier would kill it at Tulane and keep them at the top of the AAC.

This.

No offense to Tulane at all, but Baker can get a much better job than that by staying at lsu for another season or 2.

Maybe Colin Klein?

That way a coach in south Louisiana could literally be named “Mr. Coach Klein.”
