Great job by Lane. It's smart to keep reiterating that it was carter's decision not to let him coach even though he wanted to.

Lane really is an awkward dude - I think he’s never been comfortable in front of a microphone and this proved that, but he handled it as well as he could. Marty had to ask those questions and I really think Lane was sincere

Dude. That’s about as awkward a situation as you can imagine. He handled it way better than I would have.

Yeah he’s being asked about “why lsu” on the tarmac in Oxford with his name being cursed.

I get the question has to be asked but clearly not a comfortable place to answer

I sincerely admire the way that Kiffin has handled this. Ironic because I was kinda looking forward to petty trolling shenanigans.

Dude, it’s never comfortable resigning from a job, especially one as public facing as their profession. Add in he’s getting on a plane with onlooking pissed and broken hearted fans a couple hundred feet away, and I thought he handled that well.

Give him a few weeks in Baton Rouge and his personality will start to show in interviews.

but no big deal.

i really like how kiffin didn't take the bait to trash ole miss on his way saying why he was leaving.

i also appreciate pete carroll's confidence to tell him take the shot.

This is what I have been saying for years. The dude watched Carroll build a broken USC into a mini dynasty and was a huge part of making Saban’s initial run into the greatest dynasty in CFB history.

He wants that type of legacy, and it was never going to happen at FAU or OM. Period.

No guarantee it happens here obviously, but he has all the resources at his disposal to make it happen if he is capable.

That’s my coach

He didn't want to say LSU is a better job and program.
