A friend of mine reminded me that when Nick Saban came to LSU he sent a jet back to Michigan State and not one staff member came. That turned out pretty well if I remember

Fowler is full of shite, it wasn’t an urban myth. No one joined him and his first DC didn’t even make it to spring practice. Every media member that covered the SEC was saying what a terrible fit it was.

I bet many of them have a "playoff run" bonus in their contract. What's to stop them from leaving Ole Miss AFTER the playoff run is over?

The only coach that mattered to Ole Miss the last 6 years came to LSU. It’s not like LSU has a trash coaching staff especially on defense. Also, Savage, Glasscock, Weiss are coming. If Saban had 1 or 2 coaches come over, they all basically stayed at Michigan State.

As someone already pointed out, Morris Watts stayed at Michigan State. He became the interim HC the last 3 games of the '02 season when HC Bobby Williams (who stayed at MSU instead of going to LSU w/ Saban) was fired. OTOH, Watts previously served as OC at LSU in 1983, 1995–1998.

It was a myth. Saban didn’t send a plane and no one got on. No one came, but that was known almost immediately
