Why does he have a “built-in” job at LSU? That’s a losers mentality. “He’s one of us!” is a truly archaic sentiment that only Louisiana holds on to.

I think it all boils down on his recruiting
But with NIL these days, who really needs that?
Our RBs have been mid for the most part since Guice, outside of Clyde.

I really think his skill was being a New Orleans Godfather bagman pre-NIL era and arranging illegal payments to kids. I don’t think his skill set translates to the modern game

He arguably makes RBs worse. Durham looked better as a freshman.

Yeah, his running backs the Last couple of years have been a huge disappointment
Posted on 11/30/25 at 12:43 pm to Scientific73
Do yall not remember the New Orleans high school coaches demanding LSU have one of them on staff?
Posted on 11/30/25 at 12:43 pm to TigahTX
Not really his fault that two of his RBs decided to catch felonies

He’s a developer of men. Kind of not kidding. The players love him. Building a roster isn’t always just about playing time and production, although that’s what most of us see. (Denver Harris could of used some Frank Wilson in his life)
He should have some sort of position on the staff, but I agree we could do better at RB coach.

It isn't just pay anyone anymore its moving back the other way. Relationships will matter again and guys like frank are still needed

None. He is a good recruiter and has so many connections

Josh Williams went from a walk on to looking damn good and now currently on an NFL roster, undersized Clyde look Hella good, Darrell Williams developed into a nice back with multiple years in the NFL..development hasn't been an issue, Durham and Berry are both young backs and have shown flashes between this year and last. Give them adequate oline play and the results will show

Well he wasn’t here from 2016-2022 so it’s kind of a bullshite question don’t you think?
Posted on 11/30/25 at 12:53 pm to Scientific73
Because he’s African American and living off of relationships that were necessary pre NIL/portal.

I’m not on the “LSU has to retain Frank” train at all, but having good recruiters definitely still matters.

You mean before he broke his foot?

Frank seems tired when I listen to him.
I’m all good with him being on staff as some form of a lead recruiting coordinator but I’d honestly prefer a younger more energetic RB coach at this point.

Thank you... some of these idiots dont get it.
Constantly sh*t on Brad Davis on the O-line running game struggles... and in the same breath, complain that the RBs production has been down as if they dont work hand in hand.

That's the problem: You people still talk highly about Guice.
