Many of you are extraordinarily naive about the consequences for LSU if LK coaches deep

Into the playoffs.

The entire time, he wont be able to focus on recruiting for LSU, portal management for LSU, interviewing and building a staff for LSU, familiarizing himself with LSU's pipeline, building relationships with existing LSU players, transitioning to LSU, and prioritizing LSU generally.

Worse, there is really no way to legally bind him to a tenuous promise to join LSU at some point in the future unless Ole Miss consents. He could change his mind, which would lead to a pall of uncertainty hanging over the program for the next month.

LSU needs to protect its own interests in what is becoming an unseemly, protracted affair.

Many of you sound desperate, frankly, ready to take Kiffin at any price on any conditions. Hopefully our AD is somewhat more rational.

I just hope we have something signed. If we have something signed, I’m fine with him coaching in the playoffs

This is the thing. LSU be waiting around and then another college job opens or 5 nfl teams come knocking.

If LSU truly believes Lane is the guy then you have to accept that the timing sucks and be willing to lose out on some guys this recruiting cycle to set up the future.

Lose the battle to win the war sort of thing.

It’s the idiotic NCAA calendar that you should be upset at.

You will have O, Frank and Corey handling the recruiting.

Lane can Facetime at any point.

As long as he has been around football he already has a staff set, that’s no problem

Brilliant eloquence. Indicative of the cuckolds who will take LK at any price without regard to the impact on LSU. Absolute pansies.

One early recruiting cycle, or a decade plus of an innovative offensive play caller as the identity of our program??

Hmmm, tough call

They must think Ole Miss would be playing the week after championship weekend and it be over not realizing the playoffs could get into mid January if they keep winning.

The longer he coaches Ole Miss the more likely he is to stay. If they are paying him equal money and they are promising to up the money the spend on players, then he wins even one playoff game, it gets hard to argue he can’t win at Ole Miss. With the bump from more NIL money and national exposure from the playoffs, he can definitely win at Ole Miss.
