Coach O will take any gig he can get after the state courts gave all his money to his ex.

Yes, recruiting is still very important. One of the main reasons for Kiffin’s job change is that he didn’t want to have to rely on roster building via the portal. As Saban said, the portal should supplement your roster. Having said that. It’s ok if this recruiting class is not elite. You have to expect that with a coaching change right before signing period when most of the staff isn’t set yet. If next year’s class isn’t top 5, then we can start to worry.
re: Richard Anderson, that was a class act and how you should announce a signing! No BS

Is he officially signed? I dont see him on the signed list on any sites yet.

Recruiting ties aren’t completely worthless these days. But with the money openly changing hands, having expert recruiters with close relationships in an area to help facilitate moving money behind closed doors isn’t nearly as valuable imo.

Why would I apologize to Frank Wilson. I was defending him. I didn’t say anything negative about the guy and the fact that Richard Anderson signed doesn’t invalidate my point. I was saying maybe the players and their families want more money before they sign. Perhaps they upped the offer to Anderson today. I forgot how illiterate some LSU fans are.
Frank Wilson or $$$
Posted by KaneLiffin69 on 12/3/25 at 11:49 am
Is Frank Wilson really to blame for recruits dragging their feet when the entire nation has been talking about LSU’s commitment to paying players whatever it takes to win. Even our new coach says in his introductory press conference that he doesn’t care what he makes, he picked LSU because they will pay the players the most. I’m thinking a lot of these star players families and mentors took note of this and are trying to get their cut of new NIL commitments by LSU before they sign.

Sounds like you are craving a manic sociopath as coach

And Saban was 55 with when Bama hired him.

But he is the same age Saban was when Saban took the LSU job. Saban left LSU for the NFL, and Carrol left USC for the NFL… I’ll be happy if he gets LSU a ship or 2 and bolts for the NFL.
re: Thamel: Pete Golding is 100% permanent OM head coach
Posted by KaneLiffin69 on 11/30/25 at 2:24 pm to Soggymoss
If he is the permanent hire, dose that mean the Ole Miss roster can be looted 5 days after it is official? Before the CFP?
re: Many of you are extraordinarily naive about the consequences for LSU if LK coaches deep
Posted by KaneLiffin69 on 11/29/25 at 8:55 pm to DmitriKaramazov
The longer he coaches Ole Miss the more likely he is to stay. If they are paying him equal money and they are promising to up the money the spend on players, then he wins even one playoff game, it gets hard to argue he can’t win at Ole Miss. With the bump from more NIL money and national exposure from the playoffs, he can definitely win at Ole Miss.

You don’t seem to be setting the example of the positivity you are claiming to want on the board.

I also wanted Kiffin the last time around. Probably more so than this time, because he wasn’t 15 mil a season then.

Is the Texas job available on the 28th if the Longhorns get loss #4 to A&M?
