I had no idea how fake Jocko Willink was until this latest interview on SRS.

Wow. Any E nobody who served on a US combatant Ship in the 70s - 90s could disprove his account of serving on a US naval war ship. Never the less someone who served in a capacity is SOF support.
This guy is a strange bird.

I served in the 75th Ranger Regiment for a few years, I can attest that most SOG operators can be a ‘lil different…

Kinda confused bc he didn’t serve on a ship?

Being a lil different is ok especially as a SOF ops. But you’re an accomplished naval officer what does it gain you to fabricate a prior enlisted service?

What did he say that you take issue with?

OP seems like a dumbass to compare the USN in the Carter, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton years in his time period. There were pretty big differences shipboard as described by my father on DDG, CV(N)s, MCMs, and assorted other stuff he was on from the 70s-90s. I'm sure there was a MEU somewhere nearby in most of his cruises. The Clinton "peace dividend" screwed the Army at least; what you saw in 1991 was not what existed in the mid-late 90s.
ETA: Jocko joined in about 90, but by the time he completed training and ended up on a MEU, was probably close to 2 years or more.

Jocko is wildly respected by the men who served with him and under him. What are you going on about?

And he has 514 3 hour long podcasts where he mostly interviews veterans, including MAC V SOG studs, MoH winners, etc. and nobody has ever accused him of bullshite. But OP does. Laughable.

One thing the SOF social media fad has shown is that these type guys can be just as fricked in the head as anybody else. Granted lots of them actually are quiet professionals but the ones drawn to youtube and podcasts gossip and bicker like 8th grade girls. It's embarassing.

With a name like Jocko, he was born to be a douchebag.
