Brick Oven is a treat, we used to save time to eat at Messina's, but Katrina put them out of business. Brick Oven at NW corner of Vets and Williams is almost the same as eating at Messina's. There is another place on the SE side of the intersection which I've heard is just as good. They have a lot of the people from Messina's.

Avoid any place in the airport at all costs.

I've never been, but have heard that Fisherman's cove place is good.

I just looked up fisherman's cove and it appears to be a seafood market...do they have menu items?

Brick Oven may have that but they are primarily an Italian place. With all the fried seafood places you can normally get to, I recommend the Veal with Pasta ai Quattro Formaggi at the Brick Oven. Very rich and incredible dish.

Fisherman's Cove, Kenner Seafood or if you are willing to venture a little into Metairie, Bozo's has one of the best one's around.

When you come out of the airport go to Vets and turn left. Go to Loyola and the Check In Check Out Po Boy Shop is on the right corner. Good shrimp and oyster. They also have a killer ham and cheese sandwich and a great BLT. Then you can jump on I 10 at Loyola.
