My sister and her husband are over there hanging out. They are going to Myrtle’s for a haunted tour. No earthy idea what that is all about, but my sister said she’s always wanted to take a tour of that place. They had lunch at St Francisville Inn and asked me for a dinner recommendation. I told them I’m not as familiar with that city but used to drive to Hot Tails in New Roads when my wife and I were dating 12 years ago. Apparently it’s shut down and moved to Zachary which is probably the same distance. Is there other restaurants in that area that are good? It doesn’t necessarily have to be fine dining. Casual or dress is fine for them. They just want somewhere good. Thanks in advance for any suggestions provided.

Ate at the Francis a few years back and it was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

1796 at the Myrtle’s. Take their tour, drinks at the bar after or coffee at the coffee shop. Then the restaurant and meal are fantastic

1796 at the Myrtles is great.

Big River has decent pizza and Proud Mary's in the back is a pretty cool speakeasy type bar.

Bayou Sara Brewing is fun if a band is playing. Basic brewery food.

The Francis Smokehouse has good plate lunch type food but Id avoid the big Francis.

The Marinated Crab Claws are really good. Most of their food is really good. The Tater Fries are different but really good.

My friends own Patrick’s Jewelry, across the street, with Gold running over $4,000/ounce, drop off some chains, rings, anything your not using. Doesn’t take a bunch to pay for your meal!

Patrick’s!

While at the Myrtles, keep an eye out for Chloe.

Chloe!

The St. Francisville Inn. They have an award winning chef and was recommended for a star in the latest Michelin ratings for Louisiana.

The Saint at the St. Francisville Inn is VERY good. Make reservations.

1796 at the Myrtles is also quite good. I prefer the Saint (smaller menu and more intimate) but both are very good.
