Beat San Diego State by 40.

Beat Auburn by 30.

Beating Gonzaga right now by 45.

Yaxel Lendeborg spent 2 years at UAB. He will be a household name this year.

Agreed, Ohio State had a chance to get May, but chose to hire the interim with no experience.

I'd like to know what happened against Wake and TCU to make those very competitive games before I crown them, but...

They look like a G League team posing as a college team.

Long, long, long way to go, and there are some teams out there that could get them on the right night (Arizona, Duke, Louisville, and Houston to name four off the top of my head), but they look to be in a completely different tier than most other college teams I've seen recently. Like the first true super team of the NIL era.

Michigan is the #1 rated defensive team on KenPom. I don’t see any weaknesses.

Also, not that I have anything against the guy, but how does Lendeborg still have NCAA eligibility?

Was his 2020 - 2021 redshirt year also doubled up as a Covid year? He still has played four full seasons + a redshirt season in the sport. He had played 150 games in his career before transferring to Michigan this year.

I’ve seen teams start off this hot and end up cooling off.

We’ll see.

The beginning of the end of college basketball is the creation of the Superteam with super dollars. Michigan is winning the NC this year.

Bruce Pearl said it last night that the guy from UAB didn’t even sniff $1 million to go to Auburn.

they lost to Texas tonight. Not sure what to make of that, but Texas was lower-mid tier last season in the SEC. Maybe they've improved a good deal in the off-season, but I don't follow them close enough to know.

How Yaxel stayed at UAB after one season was baffling. God bless the booster who ponied up.

They had an incredible week. They currently shoot 73.3 percent from the FT line, which is slightly above average.

They don’t force many turnovers on defense (253rd nationally in turnover percentage), but every shot their opponent takes is challenged so that kind of offsets. They are also average in terms of the number of turnovers they have offensively, which can be cleaned up. Really strong peripheral numbers, but still early in the season.
