6:30 Flight Out of MSY in the morning

What time do I need to be there if I have pre check and am not checking bags? Not sure if its going to be crazy or not. Currently at Treasure Chest. May just stay here all night. Thanks

I always get to the airport about two hours before boarding. I don’t want any surprises and don’t want to be stressing about it. Especially not on Thanksgiving morning. I would start heading that way right now.

Casino or taking a flight I booked for Thanksgiving day. Take the flight and get there 5 hours early, your judgement skills will lose you a ton at the casino.

I arrive 1 hour before my flight and have clear + pre-check. I always park in short term. Right now parking is pretty full so increases risk. I would check flymsy.com and determine where you are parking. If going to economy or want to play it safe arrive 5a. If short term is reserved show up between 515-530am.
If it matters I travel weekly and showing up an hour before gives me enough time to grab something quick out of the skyclub.

I always like to get to the airport 2 hours early, buy a book I will never read, grab a coffee and then just people watch.

I have parking reserved in long term so that’s not an issue. Was just curious how busy yall thought the airport would be. I planned on getting there at 5am

What time does TSA open or if you need to check bags what time does the counter open. Therein you’ll find your answer.

MIL insisted that it was 2 hours early for domestic, 4 for international. So, I spent the better part of Xmas Day 2005 sitting in MSY.
FTR, we could’ve arrived 15 minutes early and still made the flight. Apparently no one who is sane actually travels on Christmas Day. OTOH, the last time I flew into MSY on Thanksgiving, we had a packed flight from LAX, even on a flight that touched down after midnight.
