That LSU was behind the 8 ball on NIL and we were having problems raising money?

In 2 years, we went from "We don't have any money" to now paying for a buyout, 25 million in NIL and a new head coach at supposedly 17 million a year.

Is there some secret donor who doesnt have much left to live donating funds so he can see another natty, or does BR media just mostly get it wrong?

That's what happens when you get the collective up and running and you have Bryce Underwood decommit because a billionaire swooped in at 11:59

One thing Brian Kelly did do was build the infrastructure for LSU’s NIL funding.

Whoever is donating it should instead be doing public works projects with the money, revitalizing neighborhoods and selling the homes cheaply to hardworking young families, sponsoring families, etc

Now downvote away.

I’ll say it is pretty strange that less than 12 months ago LSU was begging fans to donate money and BK was having to give money out of his own pocket and now we have a massive surplus of money

I will admit Louisiana needs a lot of work and the fact so much is spent on LSU football is absurd.

Graves and Spaight are billionaires. If they're willing to pony up, you don't need many more.

So he set us up for success financially while bankrupting us financially.

Makes sense.

Done.

Why are some people always trying to tell other people what they “should” do with their money?

Perhaps, the uber-wealthy donar lives in Broadmoor, Tara, or suburban Livingston Parish?

How about they do whatever they want with their money. And how do you know that they aren't already doing that?

This is always said, but is any of this money taxpayer money? Doesn’t the University athletic department make its own money?

I’m a huge LSU fan but I agree completely with this. It’s Obscene, sickening and frankly immoral for so much money to be thrown around for boys to play a game and men to coach them. There are so many serious needs in our society in general and in LA and BR that go unmet.
