20 minutes in and no dog hunters in here to talk smack yet?

That second picture don't look like hunting dogs, not our kind anyway.

dog hunters aren't nearly as bad as the dudes from Wisconsin who decided to do an organized drive (with radios) on midwest public at 7:30 am the opening morning of rifle. They were making sure to be in position to cut deer off from you.

In my experience, there is a very little chance any big deer gets killed by a still hunter in an area where dogs are used heavily.
Weyerhaeuser land I’m guessing?
I’m glad I enjoy hunting public and don’t ever have to deal with this crap ever again.

In my experience, you are full of shite. We've killed a pile of big deer and there have been dog hunters around us for 50+ years (including a couple years in the 90s when we had a guy in the club with dogs. We'd run on our lease a few times a year.
Dog's don't mess up hunting nearly as much as people riding their side by side to their stands every day and around property putting out 100lbs of mo-buck every few days. Dogs in the woods chasing deer is 100x more natural than the woods smelling like beer farts and sounding like a racetrack.

Ok…I try to stay out of these conversations.
I’ve ran dogs in the past, but still hunt now. Everyone has their own opinions and experiences. If you want dogs, run em. If you don’t want to run dogs, don’t. I’ll slap my ultralight in the middle of the pipeline next to my 2 ton pile of mo-buck if I want, on MY property.
Now do I do any of that? No…but you triggered me at

I like it when someone who feeds deer from a trough says people that hunt with dogs are trash. Dog hunting has been going on for hundreds of years across the globe. Feeding deer in a trough and watching them with cell cameras though…

So salty..
This thread was started in good fun...even though I dont like that these folks never care enough to come get there dogs for weeks at a time... most starving...which is borderline or actually is animal abuse...
Should be required to have a GPS collar on every dog, and get your dogs off of others property when you see they ventured too far...but most of these guys will release there dogs onto others property and try to get the dogs to bring the deer out of privately owned or leased property...and that is a fact...those guys are what gives dog hunting a bad rap...police your own kind...or are you "one of those guys"?
Well so much for this thread being fun

I have had coyotes...Bobcats in there too
Funniest thing is...I've had video of coons throwing the corn on the ground to the deer around it, to keep the deer from bothering them when in there eating

Man calm your arse down.
I’m just speaking from what I’ve experienced. Did it even cross your mind that my lease was likely MUCH different from yours? And that my neighboring property owners were MUCH different from yours? Did you even think about how often some people run them and kill WAY too many deer with dogs which ultimately ruins it for still hunters?
Like I said, I’m speaking from my own experience and there’s no doubt that yours was different from mine and it so happened to work out in your favor and I’m happy that it did for you but every rack buck I had on camera was killed by neighbors running dogs.
I’m not against it but what I have experienced has done nothing but make it a miserable experience as a still hunter. And no. I did not hunt over a trough of bait.
