With Kiffin being such a splash/exciting hire, if LSU misses on him, will you care less about football?

Is there a coach who you’d immediately lose interest in the season if they hired?

I won’t lie. If they miss on Kiffin, because of all the hype, it’d be really hard to be excited next season.

Call be bandwagon. Don’t care.

I no longer care who is hired to be LSU’s football coach. I just want that person to win a ton of games

Splash hires often flop. See Brian Kelly.

I will not lose interest. I love this school and this team regardless.

I agree that if we miss on Kiffin nobody is going to be happy with the hire no matter who it is. After watching our offense against WKU I think that made everyone want Kiffin that much more. If we miss on Kiffin I’ll still be interested because it’s LSU but definitely not as interested as if we were to hire Kiffin. The past month has been a roller coaster and if Kiffin actually comes to LSU it’s going to be a cinema of incredible content

I just watched every snap of LSU vs Western Kentucky. I’m locked in.

If someone is an LSU fan only because they win enough for them to pull some self affirmation from it they’re not really an LSU fan.

I just want to win games. Ten of them per season, preferably. And if we are going to lose, I don’t want it to be because we look like our team/coaches have just stepped off an alien spaceship and are playing football for the first time.

I've been slowly losing interest since 2020. College football in general has become something that I'm not enjoying nearly as much as I did in the past. But getting rid of Kelly has sparked my interest a little bit. The Lane drama is getting tiresome but I am a somewhat excited for next season now.

I feel like you have to be pretty football illiterate to think BK was a splash hire.

He was a non SEC guy.. at Notre Dame with a reputation of being over rated and could not win the big games.

He was literally hired because LSU whiffed on its other targets .

Buddy, that guy wasn’t a splash hire.

Were you living under a rock when he was hired? Everyone was confused on why he was the guy.

I love LSU sports and have since I was a small kid. My excitement is intrinsic and not so dependent on who the HC is.

What a pussy! I don't care who we hire, at the end of the day I'll still be just as excited as the previous season.

Like Kelly, Kiffin will be a splash hire and will also fail. He doesn't give 2 fks about LSU. He's a media whore and needs the attention.

LSU's roster hasn't had quality SEC starters at every position for several years, let alone quality depth to compete consistently.

Maybe Kiffin is a dog hunter and a OC guru, idk.

LSU NEEDS DOGS and needs someone to find them.

Nope- Bleed Purple y Gold.

Won't lose any sleep if he don't hire Kiffin.
Kelly was a splash hire and the right person at the time

I’ve already lost 80% of interest due to the portal and paying the players. I have very little interest in watching paid mercenaries put on the uniform for LSU,

I can’t just root for laundry. And I’m not a fan of Kiffin anyway so I’d be just as happy in getting Tulane’s coach

Kiffin would add more personality interest but little in the way of wins
