Which moment left you so let down that you began to resent the Saints?”

For me Ricky Bell and the pink and orange tampon bay buccaneers winning their first game in franchise history. Ended a 26 game losing streak.

Nothing bothered me all that much until the last couple of years. They really leaned into treating fans like they are idiots.
Id like to point out that ive probably defended Loomis as long as could be. I understood the kicking the can down the road strategy when you have a guy like Brees. I even understood trying to maintain a talented team and try to compete while looking for the next QB.
But at some point it became abundantly clear it wasnt working. Their doubling down on Dennis Allen being the guy was infuriating.
Then Mickey had the balls to call the fans poor and blamed other teams fans invading the dome on the economy. While doing that he at one point compared Dennis Allen with Bill Belichick and other great coaches.
I dont resent where we are now because its at least somewhat admitting we are bad and we gave up this facade of competing.
But those 2 years with Dennis really made me fed up and just didn't care much until he was gone. Would be great if Loomis was gone too but thats probably not happening anytime soon

Refusing to wear color rush more often and to fix the golds honestly took a lot of my passion lately. I hate that we don't publish a uniform schedule and paint the field properly like a Seattle or Denver or Tampa.
But it started with the Rams game and then Brees caving to Malcolm Jenkins

Trading CJGJ. Lost a lot of passion for the team and trust in the organization. Never got it back sadly

Kicking the can down the road and never trading Cam, Demario or Alvin for value to rebuild the team
Bringing in Carr. Although, I think he got a lot of unwarranted hate from our fanbase. He was actually too good and cost us draft slotting. But also, not good enough to make us a legitimate threat.

List is too long, and I don’t have all day.

Continuing to kick the can down the road via both contracts and trading futures draft picks with freaking Dennis Allen coaching the team made it obvious we were headed where we are now.

Seeing our drafted players flourish elsewhere.
Baun’s success with the Eagles is infuriating everytime their games are shown.

100000% agree with Sauce in the 2nd post. Mickey popping his gum and trying to gaslight us all into the idea that Dennis was “Bill Belichick (pops gum) Chuck Noll (pops gum).”
Then to hear that Mickey DIDNT wanna fire Dennis on top of that really killed it for me. It took away all hope because I felt like even if we do what we’re supposed to and accumulate draft picks for a rebuild, it’s still retarded asss Mick that’ll be making the selections.
All of that killed it for me way more than the result of any game.

Continuing with Brees as the QB after the San Francisco playoff loss.
The window to win another SB closed that day and Payton should have moved on from Brees rather than extending him and constantly signing one year deals to vet players that sucked thinking they still had one more title in them with Brees as the leader

I began to resent the Saints when Teddy led a 5-game winning streak, but Sean Payton brought Drew back and disrupted the chemistry built with Teddy.

I don't begin to understand how a person can ever 'resent' a sports team they choose to follow.
