Really bad look if they fire him after such a short period.

Just because we did it doesnt make it right

Doubt it though following Saban was always going to be an almost impossible situation for the successor

He’s done well enough following Saban. I think they’d be stupid to let him go this soon.

Everybody in the SEC could see BK didn’t give a damn and also had years to right the ship.

DeBoer is on the cusp of getting in the playoffs, seems a bit of illogical thinking on Bama’s end.

I said when they hired him DeBoer would be good. He’d win 10+ every season.

I also said they would fire him within 4 years for not winning a title.

Not gonna happen, but it would sent this coaching cycle to a new dimension.

Firing Deboer puts it in a near Brian Kelly type buyout situation.

Bama could let deboer walk and waive the small buyout cost.

DeBoer can end up securing a new monies contract in the 12+ mill range getting a nice raise and new security at a great place to coach.... penn st.

Zero chance Bama fires DeBoer this year. Firing a coach after year two would be a terrible look, and the coaching market is already way too crowded.

Bama won't fire DeBoer if they lose to Auburn. The fans will be mad, but he won't get fired.

There's a reason Saban chose to retire after the NCG a couple years ago and that's because Bama wanted DeBoer. His seat might get warm, but the only way he leaves is if it's of his own volition.

They are idiots if they do. So you will fire a coach for 2 conf losses. Saban never had 2 conf losses?
I might be pulling for Auburn just to see if this happens.
I can't believe it would happen though.

So he’s going to leave a shite load of money on the table because he’s feeling pressure to win a title? Because 10+ wins without titles isn’t good enough for Bama fans?

Makes sense.

He’s going to leave that to go to Penn State, where the just fired their coach because 10+ wins wasn’t good enough, because they wanted titles?

Does not make sense

I haven't watched a lot of Alabama's games, but I'm assuming they don't look like they're regressing with each game. That's why Kelly got fired. Living up to the Saban standard is nigh impossible, but it seems like Deboer's doing ok so far. They're competitive and seem to play hard.
