Trespassing on private land in Louisiana

Is trespassing super common on smaller hunting properties (not big leases) in South LA?
I see plenty of posts about “help identify this person” walking in front of a camera on a plot near this town.
You only hear about the aholes not the normal of people respecting property?
It almost makes is feel like owning property in south LA is a waste unless you live there and can monitor it.

Short answer yes but also depends on where you're at. Some areas worse than others.

It used to be common in North Louisiana rural areas, families had been hunting land for 50 years then some Yahoo City Slicker came in and leased it from the timber company.
shite hit the fan
We had people driving up and down a pipeline every morning on purpose just to screw us up, had to call the sheriff/game warden.
Funny thing was, one of them worked at the timber company and got his arse fired over a deer.
They finally got the message but it took about five years

Don’t know much about LA but in MS people trespass all the time on the Weyerhaeuser leases up there. At least where I used to hunt.
I think it’s safe to assume that some properties out in Livingston see their fair share of trespassing

South LA is full of outlaws. No matter what you do people gonna trespass.

Fairly common in rural areas. Prosecute when you catch them and they’ll usually get the hint.

South LA is full of outlaws.
We need to normalize calling them what they are: Thieves. Poachers. They steal wildlife, and steal private property rights. They're no different than the phone scammers who steal from little old ladies, the thugs who rob gas stations at gunpoint, or the meth heads who strip a vacant home of its copper.
They're poachers. "Outlaws" gives the connotation that they're kind of cute, that maybe they're not so bad after all - like a western. No, they have no redeeming qualities and should be prosecuted much harsher. One strike and you lose hunting and fishing privileges for 5 years with crippling fines. Another strike and you're banned for life with prison time. They're poachers, and they steal from others like a thief does - they should be treated like pariahs.

When I would travel to and from my south TX place from LA with LA tag I'd get pulled over all the time. TX game wardens told me having LA tag was probable cause, "ya'll SOB's shoot everything". Never once stopped when I swapped to TX tags.

Louisiana people think they’re above the law in most cases it’s truly amazing. I hunt Canada and several US states every year. You never hear about widespread trespassing and poaching like you do in Louisiana. It’s wild. Hell I know farmers in Canada who won’t let freelancers from Louisiana on their ground bc they tear shite up, litter, poach, or any combination of the 3.

It happens in MS too. Last spring right before turkey season my neighbor caught a trespasser on a trail cam shooting 2 hens and a tom. His 80 acres are next to my 160, andthere is National Forest adjacent. Trashy people are everywhere.

My brother and I own a 40 acre piece of private land in a very rural area of cenla that has been in the family for 150+ years and is bordered by private land. We have an a-hole that has been sneaking in and hunting on our land. We have found his deer stands and destroyed them and I have confronted him in the parking lot of a store and hopefully that has taken care of the issue. Green jeans and RPSO have not been helpful, so the next step on our part is to whip his if we catch him on our property.

Just returned from Black Hills National Forrest.
Drove all over with Louisiana plates .
Everyone i met was courteous, including the authorities. I was a southern gentleman in response.
We behave wherever we go.
