without Lane as coach, does Lane get a ring?

They are not making it to the National Championship game this season.

Could you imagine if that happened.

They didn't even beat us by double digits... Think about that relative to being the best team in the country

I think so.

I knew there would be a bunch of they won't comments, but that's no fun. Of course they likely won't, but it is funny to think about.

I’d rather think of ole miss losing the egg bowl and not making the playoff all. Probably a more likely scenario at this point.

Doesn’t the school decide who gets rings? Depends how petty Ole Miss wants to be.

He can put on his resume that he coached a championship team, but he may have to buy his own ring.

They aren’t good enough to win it all.

Are you people retarded? The OP didn’t say that they were. He asked a conditional. Hint, the word “if” used by the OP should have given it away.

Lane gets a ring, given to him during halftime of the LSU v. OM game with him as LSU coach. He just meets them at mid-field and puts in on then returns to our sideline

Bro, don’t you read this board? Coaches know they can’t win a title anywhere but LSU.

I remember the ravens fired cam Cameron mid season and won the Super Bowl and they gave him a ring. So I bet they would appreciate lane for building the program.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say you won’t have to worry about that.

Bama fans would be victimized by that scenario since they love to point out that Kiffin hasn't won anything.
