Israel Beer Josaphat had to change his name to Paul Julius Reuter. Heck, he even converted to Christianity. Lying came easy then and obviously, with DOGE efficiency becoming the new standard, Reuters will have to adapt.

What's the punishment for Reuters lying? I wish there was something that would make these propagandist hurt, financially when they spew this type of crap.

The "deficit" has been added to by every president for the last 60 years.
The annual budget deficit was 1.8 trillion, about the same as last year. Considering COLA increases were through the roof with inflation, and the increased interest on the deficit....thats quite a feat.

If you hear him talk about some of these "contracts" they were put in place with no end date, nor any review. Some have been going on perpetually even though the service provided stopped long ago.
Here in the Caribbean Red Stripe beer was started by Desnoes and Geddes. Along with the beer they made stouts and soft drinks called D&G. The business was sold to Guiness (later Heineken). And Guiness also got the rights to Pepsi which was now the, actually the only international brand at the time.
Pepsi Americas bought Pepsi and with it the D&G soft drinks some years later. There is a local brand called Ting that is wildly popular. And it is exported, 100s of thousands of cases, where Jamaicans have migrated, particularly Toronto and NYC.
Our export manager found it odd that we were shipping to a Mr. Jones there. There are these Smith brothers, four of them, one in Toronto, NYC, London, and Miami. They are THE importer of Caribbean goods. So she asked Smith why he wasnt ordering and it was this Jones fella. He said "well because Jones is your agent". She said no he isnt order direct from us and save a buck.
Turns out Jones was some relative of the original family and he had been handling exports. When the company was sold no one questioned and just kept ordering through him. When our export person got involved, this guy was having Smith pay him in advance, arrange shipping and clearing off the docks. This guy was doing nothing other than taking the order and invoicing and clearing millions every year.
You would be amazed the things that happen with sales regarding American brands internationally, with the companies unaware, or turning a blind eye when it comes to exports, that never actually left the US, and imports.
