A reporter just told LK he’s 2 wins away from being the all time winningest coach in OM football history and how much did that mean to him?

He said a lot of uhs and ums and said he wasn’t aware of that. Then went on to praise his players and assistant coaches. Never addressed the actual question

He gone.

And he does not mean the 2 wins are happening.

6 seasons in

Says more about Ole Miss than Lane. He’s probably thinking in the back of his head “I haven’t even won that many games here”.

Johnny Vaught has 140 more wins than Lane does.

He’s not 2 wins away from the most wins.

They tried to make it sound like he was. I’m sure Vaught won more games.

Lane Kiffin has a while to go before he catches Johnny Vaught.

TBH, that was a great question if you are an Ole Miss fan wanting Kiffin to stay

It's winning %, not number of wins. Number of wins is such a stupid metric anyway. Brian Kelly is ahead of Nick Saban in total number of wins for goodness sake.

That's because he is nowhere near that

At 54 wins, he is currently third. Billy Brewer has 68 wins, Johny Vaught has 190 wins.

Maybe he meant winning percentage? If he won the next 2 games, he would eclipse Vaught's winning percentage. LK would be .746 to JV .745. Of course, Vaught did that over 263 games vs what would be 75 total games.

There is a reason why it is named Vaught–Hemingway Stadium

Vaught will always be the greatest coach at Ole Miss, unless someone starts winning championships, which no one sees in their future...

Johnny Vaught coached 25 years at Ole Miss and won 190 games.

Lane’s done a good job at Ole Miss, but he hasn’t averaged 30+ wins per season there.

He wasn’t aware of it because it isn’t true.

There’s a man named Johnny Vaught, whom their stadium is named after, who would like a word. His tenure was long before my time, and I hate Ole Miss, but you have to respect the history.
