Tomorrow the Supreme Court will decide to take Donald Trump’s appeal of Birthright Citizenship
President Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship is currently struck down nationwide by lower court rulings
Monday the Justices could take the appeal!
“This is big because as soon as tomorrow, the Supreme Court could say whether it will hear an appeal that could redefine birthright citizenship. Justices met Friday at their private weekly conference considering an appeal by the Trump Administration. Remember, on his first day in office,
President Trump signed an executive order declaring that only newborns who have parents with permanent legal status in the US are eligible for birthright citizenship. Now, federal courts have blocked that order as unconstitutional, citing more than a century of legal precedent. The 14th Amendment citizenship clause that all persons born or naturalized in the US are citizens was ratified after the Civil War.
Researchers estimate that this appeal could impact as many as 255,000 children born in the US each year to one or more parents without American citizenship or permanent legal status.“

Being born in a European country gives you a birth certificate. It has nothing to do with citizenship. European countries have many restrictions on granting citizenship. Of course this does not negate the fact that London and Paris have destroyed their cities by allowing immigration policies that have destroyed their heritage and culture.

Looking forward to a 9-0 decision against trump on this one.

I would think that if a parent would want their child to be a citizen if the USA, then they might want to be citizens too? But they don’t try very hard to make that happen.

Until Congress steps in the Executive Branch should have total autonomy to define “jurisdiction ”.

Sure, the parents want to be citizens as well.

Ok but they don’t seem like they try very hard to comply with the process.

Should we emulate? I think we do at this time. But it is an exploited loophole.

Somebody show Acb a picture of a Mexican kid with dirt on his face so she’ll sell out our country

Someone enters the country without authorization and has a child who, under current law, is a U.S. citizen.
Current law also requires the removal of the parent, which results in family separation.
Seems the obvious solution is birthright citizenship should apply only when at least one parent is legally present in the country.

If one or more of the parents are legal citizens, then the child is a citizen, no matter where they're born in the world. It should be the same way on US soil. You can't just come over here illegally, on vacation, etc. and have a baby and think that they are automatically a citizen when niether of the parents are citizens. Then the whole family has the right to stay because their child is now a citizen and someone needs to take care of them? bullshite

I don’t see how the non-citizen parents aren’t deported and the parents either choose to leave their child behind as a ward of the state, or they take their child with them.

Invite the 3rd world, become the 3rd world. Once you break the threshold of nons to white majority the slope will increase exponentially and America will be unsalvageable legislatively.
Show me the path for Multiculturalism making the American way of life better for Gen Alpha. The same dumbasses bitching they can’t afford a home are also the ones throwing tear gas at ICE agents trying to remove illegals.
Retards.

I think there is at least a 25-30% chance it doesn't even get taken up

It's been ruled that way at every step and the Supremes may not even take the case up

I’m not sure they’ll have four justices who want to take the writ
