Would their AD allow him to still sign extension?

Would Carter even have a job?

Too much, and LSU will attempt to settle so we can negotiate with dilly dilly while paying 2 coaches their buyouts, while 1 has never coached here. THAT would be the LSU thing to do!

I’d hope LSU retracts their offer. I happen to know someone well connected to the LSU athletic department who confirmed that this would likely happen should Ole Miss lose Friday

Do with that information what you will.

Who did your source say LSU is in deep conversations with to be the next coach if they are so easily going to retract the offer?

We aren’t retracting a offer over losing the egg bowl

Ignore it? Because it's the most stupid nonsense I've ever read on this board? I will!

Keith Carter is the best AD we've ever had - he's absolutely safe with his job.

Ole Miss should be able to run for 300 yards against State and win the game easily. But, I wouldn't put it past Lane to throw the Egg Bowl to try avoid the "he abandoned a playoff team" label.

The reb faithful will make the LA riots look like woodstock compared to what they will do to Oxford

If ole miss loses the EB and Lane the day after their message boards will be so entertaining.

That’s dumb. Would prefer they lose to make things easier.

I have a friend who lives in Tupelo whose father n law is an OM Law Grad. He gives a lot to the whatever their NIL program is called and buys 12 season tickets a year. After talking to him yesterday evening i doubt Lane could stay regardless of winning or losing the Egg Bowl. He said the air is toxic with hate and the feeling of betrayal. And, i guess i understand in a way but with the early signing day in December and the Portal opening in January (?) combined with the playoffs it really makes it tough for any coach to consider leaving if His team could enter the playoffs.

Just my 2 cents

I’d wipe my arse with it if I could. But your information isn’t even that useful.
