Statistics show that a very minute percentage of interim coaches are retained by the new coach simply because most new HCs want to build their own staff and they also don't want to run the risk keeping a coach that may be loyal to the old coach and not him.

Personally, I hope the new coach hires a completely new staff, simply because LSU needs a complete reset and a fresh start. I know Wilson is known as an incredible recruiter, but the reality is recruiting these days comes down to money and which school offers the best financial packages.

He also happens to be the position coach for one of the few bright spots on the offense, that includes a former 5star true freshman that has been awesome this year and who LSU cant afford to lose. Hes LSU through and through, the fans love him, and the LA high school coaching community loves him... Why would you not keep him?

I get that , but he and kiffin have coached together and I have it on a good authority tht FW be at LSU next season if he wants it is in his choice regardless of the next coach.. ( coach , ambassador, recruiter,) ect.

Orgeron was retained after Miles left. Brad Davis was retained after Orgeron left. What statistics are you referring to?

I suspect Frank may be retained in some capacity but if he isn’t, it probably won’t matter much.

I think you need some little thread of continuity in a program, and Frank is as good as any to provide thst without being disruptive to newguy processes implementation.

BK thought that too and it cost us. That was probably his biggest mistake. Moffit Raymond etc.

Frank isn’t going anywhere unless he chooses to leave for another job. And if Kiffin does come, it’s that much more likely he stays.

People that say recruiting is only about money fhese days are completely wrong. Maybe a few recruits feel that way, but the majority of kids don't actually go the highest bidder.

I am sure Frank is very appreciative of Kelly for the opportunity to come back, but I can't fathom his loyalty toward any individual coming close to that of the program and the state of Louisiana as a whole. He is the archetype of the staff member that you do retain for what he brings to the table regarding program insight, recruiting familiarity, and competence

Does this mean we won’t see 15 screens per game anymore?

Frank and Corey aren't going anywhere unless they want to. They are loyal to LSU.

I felt the same way about Brad, but you can't have an o-line that bad and stay employed. I would just love to know what went wrong there. That was supposed to be BK's specialty and Brad isn't supposed to be that bad of a coach.
